Mokhles owns a stationary where he sells college handouts, and he goes to the university to sell them to the students there. Sabah has two jobs; she is both a car handler and a broker, and she keeps her husband's death a secret. Salem tries to approach her romantically, but she keeps rejecting him.

2nd Episode

Upon learning of Sabah's husband's death, Salem expresses his willingness to stand by her. Adel Hadida quarrels with a group that sexually harassed his nephews. In retaliation, the group enlists the help of a group of thugs, but Mokhles addresses the matter and confronts them.

The residents of Bin El Sarayat neighborhood quarrel with the out-comers who came to avenge Adel Hadida. The college professor admires the idea Mokhles suggests for selling the handouts. The authorities make a raid on Mokhles's store and he claims it is his brother's.

4th Episode

Mokhles and his wife consult a doctor about having an ICSI since they are late in childbearing. Sabah wants to shift her career from that of a car handler to that of a stationary owner. Mokhles wants Mahrous out of the library business. Adel El-Sunni offers to strike a partnership with Adel Hadida.

Qamar is arrested on charges of driving a student's car without a license, but Sabah and Ali manage to get her out. Adel heads to El-Sunni's library to take the door measurements. The first encounter with Shadia occurs. Mokhles tries to extend the library to include his brother's apartment.

6th Episode

Ebtesam visits Walid in his humble room and gifts him with a mobile phone instead of the stolen one, and her father warns her against getting too involved with Walid. Adel Hadida works at El-Sunni's library where he meets Shadia and develops feelings for her. Ali tells Qamar he wants to propose to her.

Qamar merely regards Ali as a brother, and she cannot fathom marrying him. Mokhles throws grand festivities upon learning that his wife is pregnant. Ibrahim slips mice into Salem's paper supply store, which causes him significant losses as the paper wears away.

Ali's mother feels embarrassed that the university security found leftovers in her bag. Salem tries to woo Sabah by bringing her son gifts. Mokhles starts to hang out a lot at cabarets with Salem, and he joyously arranges for a trip for the residents of Bin El Sarayat and the college students.

Sabah arranges for a condolence tent for her deceased husband. Salem learns that it was Ibrahim behind the foul incident, so he gives him a taste of his own medicine and releases the mice on him. Adel Hadida proposes to Shadia. Mokhles and Samar have a car accident.

Adel lends his brother a sum of 20 thousand pounds. All the neighborhood gathers to celebrate Adel Hadida's wedding to Shadia. Mokhles abducts Walid to force him to cut off his business with Sabah and to sell him solely the lectures.

Mokhles's father advises his son to take another wife to beget children. Walid starts his business with Mokhles and both parties find it satisfactory. Simultaneously, discord arises between Walid and Ebesam as he has been ignoring her. Ibrahim and Salem also quarrel over frequenting cabarets.

Samar accepts that Mokhles has another wife on the condition that she herself chooses her; she chooses Qamar. Mokhles buys Mahrous a pick-up car, but the two brothers quarrel as Mahrous has an accident. Walid and Ebtesam quarrel, and he eventually leaves college and returns to his hometown.

Despite his initial objection to the match, Mokhles eventually agrees to marry Qamar who insists on having a big wedding in the neighborhood. The Teaching Assistant that previously expelled Sabah from university eventually changes her mind and agrees to work at Sabah's educational center.

An argument takes place between Mokhles and Samar as she sees him conversing with Qamar. Soliman asks Sabah to be his partner in his new paper-importing business. Ebtesam tells Walid that she feels nostalgic about the department of the English language because her mother headed it for 10 years.

16th Episode

El-Sunni urges Adel to return the money once he gets his business done. Salem asks Mokhles to mediate on his behalf to marry Sabah. Ali marries Zizi, the hairdresser. Mokhles meets Dr, Younes and informs him that his wife gives private sessions at an education center in Bin El Sarayat.

Dr. Younes threatens to divorce his wife. El-Sunni loans Adel money to pay for a new apartment. Ebtesam's father agrees to open a company for her. Mahrous gets back to his senses and decides never to succumb to his brother and his manipulation ever again. All the neighborhood attends Mokhles and Qamar's wedding.

After the wedding ceremony, Qamar asks Mokhles to leave her for the night, which he does and he goes to Samar who rejoices at seeing him. Adel is infuriated to learn that his daughter's presumable suitor has actually slept with her.

The groom comes to ask for Saad's daughter's hand, and Adel promises to afford all the expenses. Mahrous and Mokhles start their new project to decrypt the college handouts. Soliman suggests they sell their land to start a new business, and his father agrees after much debate.

El-Sunni asks Adel Hadida to divorce Shadia, but he refuses. Mokhles calls for an urgent meeting for all the library owners upon learning that someone started decrypting their handouts. Qamar tries to ruin Mokhles's relationship with his first wife.

Mokhles suspects that Mahrous is behind the paper-decryption act. Salem learns the truth about his son-in-law. Adel gets into a terrible psychological state where he is always drunk and ill-tempered.

Adel stabs his father-in-law to death, and Shadia promises to take revenge on him. The Egyptian revolution of 2011 breaks out, the thing that doesn't entirely appeal to Mokhles. Amid the chaos, Mokhles is still trying to figure out who's responsible for ruining his business.

Samar informs Mokhles that Qamar is taking contraceptives. Mahrous takes over the library, and Mokhles is totally helpless. Soliman acts against his father's wish and refuses to give the money back to Sabah. A state of lawlessness spreads over the country; Mahrous's son is kidnapped.

Following his father's death, Soliman enters a state of melancholy and gives Sabah her money back. Mokhles manages to collect the ransom money to give it to the kidnappers who turn out to be connected to Mahrous's wife. Zizi learns that Ali is injured in Tahrir Square.

Salem hands Shadia a pistol to use it in case Adel returns, and she indeed murders him and justifies the murder to her father. Mokhles urges Mahrous to turn himself in as agreed. Naiema's condition is worsening and she begs Samar to allow her to see her children.

30th Episode

It turns out that Shadia didn't murder Adel. Mahrous decides to turn himself in, but he lies to his parents claiming his traveling to China for business. People rejoice when Mubarak steps down and their hopes are revived following the Egyptian revolution.
