After Shawqi steals his father's money, he flees the village, leaving behind his lover, Souad, who marries his brother, Sadiq, and bears him a son. Then, she dies, and Shawqi becomes a businessman, especially after his marriage to Dolly, a wealthy girl, with whom he has a daughter. However, he neglects her and becomes preoccupied with his ambitions.
