As news spread that Darine's brother has killed her family before killing himself, Darine grows upset that her brother-in-law wants to remarry after her sister's death. Darine mulls over the fight she had with her parents over her relationship with Maher prior to the accident.
As Darine follows clues to figure out the truth about what happened, she rebukes Maher for neglecting her in her crisis. Mazen searches for Salwa. Darine gets her family's phones and reflects on the various fights her father had with her brother.
Maged reveals to Darine that Amer sent him a message, asking to meet him on the day of the crime. Maher cuts ties off with Darine, but he soon calls her after her uncle becomes a minister. Noura visits Darine to confide a secret, but she soon changes her mind after receiving a mysterious call.

Mazen marries Darine. As the situation deteriorates in Syria, Mazen's former friend, Hesham, confesses that Salem plotted to kill Qais after killing Faten.
When an article smears the name of Darine's father, her aunt's family gloats. Darine receives anonymous threatening letters, as well as mysterious recordings between unknown individuals from Amer's phone.
Mazen discovers that Maged is the one who has been sending the recordings, after he got Tawfik's mother to steal the phone. The last recording proves that Atef killed himself, but it was Salma who killed the rest of the family after exposing her affair with Darine's father.
