In the 19th century, a Damascene neighborhood witnesses how Ibrahim Al-Qabaday, the owner of the neighborhood's coffee shop, was falsely convicted of murdering his wife and sentenced to 12 years in prison. He files a request to raise his daughter in prison, which gets approved.
