This popular historical drama series from Syria continues into its sixth season, focusing on the period of Syria’s liberation from brutal French colonialism. This season we will witness the return of Abu Issam's character as well as meet new characters, as is the case every season.

The series covers stories about Levantine life in the 1920s and 1930s, all through the 1936 treaty which paved the way for Syria's independence, through the story of Mo'taz, a Muslim man who falls for the Jewish Sarah. His wish to marry her ignites a sectarian divide within the neighborhood.

Set in the 1930s, the eighth season continues to depict the life of the people within their neighborhood 'Al-Dabbie Alley' as well as their interactions with other neighborhoods in the wider Levant. It also sheds light on the societal and political development of the region.

Set during the French occupation of Syria; after the bombing of a small town in Damascus, the people of Al-Dab'e alley have to take refuge in Al-Salihiya alley, and carry on with their lives under occupation, and life's ordeals.
