The director Raga and the photographer Layne are in love but Raga's hesitantance impedes their love story. When they meet again, Raga's friend tells him to make a decision as Layne's friend advises her to stay away from him since he is in a relationship with Lara.

Layne meets Na'el. Raga goes to Layne's house after Mira tells him that she doesn't know where she is. Kamil tries to get close to Lara but she rejects him.

When Layne goes to a photo session, she discovers that Na'el is the one who asked for her. Na'el asks Layne to tell him about herself and learns that she is a divorcée. Kamil asks Raga to call Na'el to discuss the script.

Pascal tells Kamil that she is willing to do anything to get the leading role in his film. Layne and Na'el go out on a date. Mira is sad after her father and his wife visit her.

Na'el invites himself to Layne's house. Raga goes to Layne's house but Mira refuses to let him in. Raga and Na'el meet to talk about the script. Raga attends Lara's friend's birthday party and Layne sees them together.

Layne's rejects Raga's attempt to prevent her from drinking. When Raga apologizes to Layne, she tells him that she is seeing someone as well. Kamil tries to seduce Lara. Layne informs Na'el of what happened with her ex-husband.

Lara is furious that Raga didn't tell her about his former relationship with Layne. Layne stays over at Na'el's and he takes her to meet his mother. Bilal tries to get close to Mira but she evades him.

Bilal confesses his feelings for Mira and asks her to give him a chance. Layne discovers that Na'el is a liar and might be a cheater as well. When she refuses to take his calls, he goes to apologize to her.

Na'el approves the script amendments. As he and Raga talk about their experience with love and marriage, they are unaware that they are both talking about the same woman. Pascal gives herself to Kamil in the hopes that she will get the lead role. Raga returns home to find Layne waiting for him.

When Layne asks Raga if he loves her, he advises her to stay with the guy she is seeing. Raga is saddened when his mother dies. Mira goes out with Bilal. Layne tries to console Raga.

When Lara arrives to find Layne with Raga, she tells her to stay out of her and Raga's lives, but Raga kicks Lara out. Bilal sees Layne and Na'el together. Raga's father is transferred to the hospital.

Layne tells Na'el that she was hired to film his movie's behind the scenes. When Raga tells Layne that his father is in the hospital, Na'el tells her to go to him. Bilal tells Raga that he saw Layne with Na'el and how happy she is with him.

When Lara learns that Layne is going to be filming the movie's BTS, she asks Katia to help her break Layne's contract. Raga asks Na'el to get Kamil to reconsider giving Pascal the lead role. Raga asks Na'el about his sweetheart.

Lara confronts Raga about Layne's involvement in his movie but he assures her that Na'el is the one behind it. Lara is upset that Raga didn't tell her that they got a new editor. Na'el takes Layne to a horse ranch.

Na'el tells Raga about the day he spent with Layne at the ranch and his proposal. Raga asks Layne to get back with him but she chastises him and tells him to leave. Lara tries to find out information about Fo'ad.

Na'el tells Omar that he is afraid of his feelings for Layne. When Layne finds Raga injured, he seizes the chance to kiss her. When she tries to tell Na'el, he refuses to listen.

Na'el takes Layne to a shooting range. Na'el sees a psychologist for his compulsive lying. Emad refuses to eat or take his medication because of Raga's mistreatment.

Raga enlists Layne's help with his father. When Layne is late to her dinner with Na'el, he goes to her place and learns that she was with her ex-husband.

Na'el asks his psychologist to give him a sedative but she refuses. Emad is fed up with Lara and asks Raga to bring Layne. Layne apologizes to Na'el for going to Raga's father.

Bilal refuses to be friends with Lara. Raga sends for Layne when Emad refuses to eat or take his medication. When Na'el tells Layne that their relationship is over, Layne goes to Raga.

Layne's brother, Ramy, returns and meets Mira. Na'el sees Layne hugging Ramy and mistakenly believes that Ramy is her ex. Ramy learns about Na'el and Layne's relationship. Raga learns that Layne and Na'el are having problems.

Na'el finds solace in alcohol. Bilal proposes to Mira but she refuses him. Ramy tells Layne of his struggles with his American wife.

Layne learns that Na'el left his house. When she sends him a message, he informs her that he doesn't want to see her again. Raga gets in an accident. Layne finds Na'el and tells him that the man he saw her with is her brother.

Raga is transferred to the hospital. Lara learns of Raga's accident. Ramy starts to get close to Mira.

When Emad calls Layne to inform her about Raga's accident, she leaves Na'el and tells him that her husband was in an accident. Na'el talks to Samar about his problems with Layne. Raga is released from the hospital.

Raga confronts Layne about her relationship with Na'el. Layne introduces Ramy to Na'el. Raga asks Kamil to host a dinner for the cast. As Na'el, Layne and Raga come together for the dinner, Raga and Layne pretend that they don't know each other.

Na'el overhears Raga and Layne talking in the bathroom. Mira evades Ramy who quarrels with Bilal when the latter grabs Mira's hand at the gym. Na'el asks Raga to stay away from Layne.

Mira confesses her feelings for Ramy. Emad tells Raga to gift Layne a ring. Na'el gives Layne a ring and she agrees to marry him.

Na'el tells Samar about Ward. When Layne sees paintings of girls in Na'el's house, he claims that they are his characters but she disbelieves him. Na'el comes home to find flowers strewn on the stairs.

Ward confronts Na'el about his relationship with her and Layne. Mira tells Layne that she is having an affair with someone. Layne refuses to go back to Raga. Ward arrives to find Na'el with Layne.

Na'el tells Layne that he left Ward a year after they met. Ward stalks Na'el. When Raga puts his feelings for Layne on paper, Emad asks his daughter to take the letter to Layne.

Na'el confesses to Samar that he is not taking his medication. Layne confronts Na'el with the fact that the movie is telling his story with Ward.

Layne takes off Na'el's ring because she is afraid he will leave her like his characters always do in the novels. When Layne sees Ramy kissing Mira, she admonishes Mira and leaves the house. Raga advises Layne to reconcile with Na'el.

Pascal flirts with Raga. Layne reconciles with Na'el but she grows mad when she learns that he knew about Mira and Ramy. Mira asks Ramy to leave and tries to kill herself.

Layne saves Mira and calls Ramy. When Katia gives Raga's letter to Na'el, Raga tells him that Layne got the letter by mistake. Na'el proposes to Layne.

When Layne asks Na'el for some time to think about their marriage, Na'el takes it as a sign that she is in love with Raga. Pascal threatens Raga to expose their affair. Layne agrees to marry Na'el after she learns of Raga and Pascal's relationship.

Layne learns that Ramy and Mira slept together. Raga quits and sets Pascal up so that Kamil learns that she cheated on him. Samar hints that she is in love with Na'el. Ward threatens to kill Na'el.

Mira asks her stepmother for forgiveness and tells her that she is in love with a married man. Layne finds Raga's letter in Na'el's house.

Layne burns Raga's letter and tells Na'el that she wants to marry him. Samar confesses that she shouldn't have fallen in love with Na'el. Na'el gets drunk and Samar goes to his house.

Na'el kicks Samar out. Mira asks Bilal to help her get over her sweetheart but Bilal says that he can't help her. Na'el imagines that Raga and Layne reconciled and that he took her to bed.

Layne tells Mira that she doesn't know if she should marry Na'el or go back to Raga. Raga visits his mother's grave. Layne is unable to choose between Na'el and Raga.

It's revealed that Na'el is mentally ill and that he uses his stories to convey the things he imagines. Samar confronts Na'el with the fact that only she and Omar are real but Layne and the rest are fictional. Na'el goes to the publishing house and meets Nadine, whom he thought was Layne.
