On their way home, Kariman's husband, Ismail, informs her that their daughter is on her way to Paris with his sister. She begs him to return her, but he hits her. She retaliates, hitting him with a crowbar and leaving him dead.

Kariman flees to Portsaid in an attempt to find the ship her daughter boarded. After discovering that the ship has sailed, she wanders around till she passes out in front of Eugenie theater. Farid looks after her.

Kariman alleges to Galila that she is fleeing her step-father's attempt to forcibly marry her off. Farid returns home to find Lola who only leaves after he promises to visit her the next day. Farid and Kariman run into each other and start talking. Kariman decides to look for a job.

Lola and Farid discuss their relationship. Aida, Farid's wife, throws a luncheon, but things turn awkward when Sophia arrives. Galila gets Kariman a job at Eugenie's.

Farid blames Aida for inviting Sophia. They discuss the awkwardness of their marriage. Aziz complains to Farid that his mother is getting in the way of his love for Sophia. Farid embarrasses Kariman and she leaves to work for Lola.

Naemat decides to quit after her boss asks to marry her. Farid apologizes to Sophia for what happened at the luncheon. Aziz visits Sophia in her cafe. Kariman quits her job with Lola to work for Sophia. Farid gets a job offer in Cairo. Kariman and Farid reconcile.

Aida finds out about Farid's job offer. Galila sees Kariman's wedding band, but Kariman says it's an engagement ring. She learns that they found Ismail's body. Sedky visits Naemat to propose a second time. Aziz fights with his mother who badmouths Sophia.

Amin gives Galila an ultimatum. Kariman discovers that Farid is married. Naemat tells her family about Sedky's proposal. Aziz visits Sophia's cafe but finds it closed. He discovers that she has a man over.

The guy with Sophia is there to bring her news about prisoners of war. Despite his reservations, Aziz decides to marry Sara. Kariman agrees to look after Aida's daughter till Aida recovers from an illness. Galila decides to move to Cairo. Naemat's brother asks to meet Sedky.

Aziz's mother tells Sophia about his engagement. Aida starts to recover. Galila's relationship with Amin is on the rocks after she gets a job offer in Cairo. Nabila objects to Sedky's marriage to Naemat. The police come to arrest Kariman.

Kariman has a nightmare that she is getting arrested, and it prompts her to try to get a fake passport to leave the country. Nabila laments Sedky's upcoming marriage. Sedky asks for Naemat's hand officially. Aida recovers and reunites with her daughter.

Sophia waits for news about a prisoner of war. Farid is expected to make a decision about his job offer. Kariman meets a former friend who tries to help her go to France.

Aziz and his mother clash over where he'll live after marriage. Sedky agrees to find another house to reside in with Naemat. Kariman hides when the police come to Sophia's cafe to arrest a counterfeiter.

Sophia is released, but news of her arrest affects the cafe. Naemat visits Sedky at work, but he leaves her behind for his daughter. Kariman agrees to work as a nanny for Aida.

Aziz's engagement party takes place. Sophia goes to the Italian Consulate looking for news about her son who went missing in WWII. Nabila sees her groom, while Sedky tries to reconcile with Naemat.

Galila ends her relationship with Amin. Sedky overhears Nabila's plans to ruin his marriage and retaliates by marrying Naemat. Kariman discovers that Farid studied in France and asks for his help.

Aziz and his fiancé dine at Sophia's cafe, which prompts a confrontation between Sophia and Aziz's mother. Sedky and Naemat return from their honeymoon, much to Nabila's displeasure. Sedky introduces Naemat to Sophia and they become fast friends.

Things are tense between Naemat and Nabila who doesn't want Naemat present for the meeting with her prospective groom. Galila impresses the theater's manager who gives her the penultimate number. Kariman reads Farid's diary, which enables him to confess his feelings for her.

Kariman and Farid start spending time together. After seeing them together, Farid tells Sophia that he doesn't love his wife Aida. Galila is welcomed by her dying father. Aida tells Farid that Kariman quit.

Sophia feels sad that her son's girlfriend is considering marrying another guy. She unburdens herself to Aziz. Nabila and her fiancé decide to get married. Farid sees Kariman with Ali who is helping her get to France.

Kariman is forced to tell Farid about her daughter. The theater's manager tells Galila that she is getting the main number over Lola. Sara breaks off her engagement to Aziz who finds his mother dead when he returns home. Farid asks Kariman to marry him in secret.

Kariman thinks she saw Ismail, so she comes clean to Galila. She sees him again at Magda's funeral and discovers that even though he didn't die, he had lost his memory and been searching for her. He promises their daughter's safe return. Meanwhile, Farid discovers that Aida is pregnant.

Aziz tries to reconcile with Sophia. Nabila suspects that Naemat gave her brother a piece of jewelry that belongs to Nabila's mother. Ismail asks for Kariman's forgivness.

Aziz is feeling down after his mother's death. Ismail gets a telegraph that his daughter is coming back. Naemat returns to her family home.

Galila's brother fights with her after he sees her drinking. Amin interferes and tells him he is her husband. Galila fights with Kariman over keeping the truth from Farid. Sedky proves to his daughter that Naemat is innocent.

Naemat manages to reconcile Galila and Kariman. Aziz proposes to Sophia. Lola alleges that Farid aborted her. Sedky apologizes to Naemat.

Lola tells her abortion story to Farid's manager who gives him an open vacation. Farid gets arrested and Aida confronts him with Lola's allegations. Ismail helps Kariman's father out of prison. Naemat wins the lottery. Sophia refuses Aziz's proposal and sees her missing son.

When the parents of Nabila's fiancé come for a visit, Sedky's house gets foreclosed leading to breaking off the engagement. Sophia's son, Nino, returns but refuses to see anyone. Aziz turns to alcohol. An inebriated Farid gets in a fight with Ismail. Aida aborts the baby.

Naemat pays for Sedky's house and he decides to sell the theater to pay his debts. Aida admits that she is the one who came up with Lola's allegations and then decides to return to Lebanon.

Aida reveals her revenge plans against Farid. Naemat and Nabila turn a new leaf. Ismail takes Kariman home and reveals that he remembers what happened. Farid follows them and Ismail commits suicide. Over time, Farid writes a novel "Eugenie Nights" and sends the script to Kariman.
