Hayfaa suffers under her husband Sultan’s cruel and domineering control. Laila takes charge of a charity. Her brother, who hasn’t seen her in years, tries to see her. Mubarak asks his brother Sultan to rent out their father’s house so that he could pay off his debts.
Sultan insists on wedding his daughter to a rich man, even though the groom is both old and disreputable. When Tamader refuses the marriage, her father beats her severely that she is transferred to the hospital. Sarah's mother dies.
Laila thinks about taking Tamader away from her family to keep her safe. Sarah's father tells her that her mother abandoned her and Laila raised her after she paid her mother off. Ya'coub thinks about wedding Tamader to save her from her father. Sultan catches his wife and daughter before they flee.
Laila is shocked when pictures of her with the dream interpreter are leaked on social media. Intisar accuses Sarah of being behind the leaked pictures. As Tamader and her mother consider escaping, Sultan locks them up. Tamader asks Ya'coub to propose to her.
As Rashed meets a girl at the movies, he falls for her and thinks about marrying her. But his father has a surprise in store for him since he will only agree to wed Tamader to Ya'coub if Rashed weds Ya'coub's sister, Noura. Everyone is shocked when Noura agrees. Tamader threatens to kill herself.
Laila's brother calls her but she refuses to speak to him. Ya'coub and Rashed prepare to wed Tamader and Noura. Abu Rashed (Rashed's father) informs Hayfaa that he is going to take another wife after their children get married
Ya'coub weds Tamader as Rashed weds Noura. Both couples move into separate houses.
Tamader is annoyed with the way her husband eats and his lack of self-care. When her father asks her for money, she tells her husband Ya'coub who gives her the money.
Laila asks Jassem to have the charity house built. Laila tells Jassem and Sarah about the voices she keeps hearing in the house. Abu Tamader (Tamader's father) quarrels with his daughter for not bringing him the money he asked for. Laila has hallucinations of Tamader being in the house.
Jassem's wife suspects that he is having an affair with Hoor. Rashed quarrels with Noura over her relationship with her male colleagues. Abu Rashed takes the liquor bottles that Ya'coub secretly trades in.
Ya'coub quarrels with Tamader's father for beating her. Laila continues to imagine the presence of people around her. Noura complains to her brother Ya'coub that Rashed has changed with her.
Laila asks Jassem to expedite the installation of surveillance cameras in the house. Intisar is surprised when she finds Laila's rosary in her car. Jassem asks for the hand of the niece of Laila's brother but insists that the marriage must be kept a secret.
Sultan convinces his son, Rashed, to stay in his house along with his wife. Noura complains to her mother that Rashed is perpetually suspicious of her. Laila tells Sarah that the land deed was put in her name. Rashed's uncle suggests that he divorce Noura to wed said uncle's daughter, Faten.
Rashed beats his wife after she celebrates her birthday with friends from both genders. Rashed's father asks him to divorce his wife and wed his cousin Faten. As Ya'coub and Tamader agree to separate, he asks her to return to her family home.
Rashed weds his cousin. Tamader accuses Ya'coub of being the reason their marriage is over and asks for a divorce. Intisar tries to take Laila to the hospital, but Jassem refuses.
When Ya'coub separates from Tamader, the latter asks her father to let her return to school, an endeavor that Laila supports. Laila opens the orphanage. Ya'coub decides to stop drinking.
Intisar's husband dies. Faten gets pregnant. Rashed insists for Jassem to divorce his daughter Hoor and gives him a choice between Hoor and Sarah. Umm Tamader decides to run away with her daughter.
Tamader and her mother run away and stay in the house of Umm Ya'coub (Ya'coub's mother). Sultan tries to track them, but he is unable to discern their whereabouts.
Rashed threatens to burn down Ya'coub's house if his mother and sister do not return home. Hoor threatens Jassem to tell Sarah about them if he doesn't end his marriage to Sarah.
Rashed asks Ya'coub to divorce Tamader. As Sultan falls ill, he is rushed to the hospital where the doctor reveals his critical diagnosis of late-stage liver cirrhosis
Rashed abandons his father after the latter falls ill. Ya'coub asks his sister to help him win Tamader back. Sarah confronts Jassem with her suspicion about his marriage to another woman.
Ya'coub tries to convince Tamader to go back to him. Umm Rashed (Rashed's mother) withholds medications from Sultan until he nearly dies. Laila hires Shehab as the manager of her orphanage. Hoor informs Intisar of her marriage to Jassem.
As Sultan's health deteriorates, his brother asks Rashed to manage his business. Tamader discovers that Ya'coub is trading in alcoholic beverages.
Shehab warns Laila about Jassem, who ends up drugging Shehab. Sarah asks for Laila's approval for her divorce from Jassem. Everyone looks for Ya'coub who vanished from his store. Hoor asks Laila to forgive her father.
Hayfaa leaves the house. Mubarak asks his brother Sultan to sell the house and give Rashed his share, so that he could become his business partner.
Sultan tries to convince his daughter to go back to Ya'coub. As Tamader agrees, Sultan decides to sell the house. Sarah and Hoor quarrel over Jassem. Laila decides to visit her brother, Rashed.
Laila visits Rashed at the hospital and claims responsibility for all that happened to them after their father's death. Hayfaa refuses to go back with Sultan and kicks him out. Tamader quarrels with her mother. As Hayfaa goes out to meet an unknown man, her daughter sees them together.
Hayfaa agrees to return to Sultan's house. Laila learns of Jassem and Hoor's marriage. Hoor insists that Jassem must divorce Sarah.
Laila convinces Sarah to divorce Jassem. Intisar asks her doctor friend to report Sarah and Jassem to the police and treat Laila. Ya'coub discovers that Rashed is selling liquor. Laila tries to kill herself.
As Laila is rushed to the hospital in critical condition, Sarah and Jassem are investigated for supplying her with drugs, leading to the latter's incarceration. When Rashed hides the liquor in Ya'coub's car, Ya'coub gets arrested and sent to prison. Sultan passes away.
