Maysaa's father dies on her first day of college, but her mother keeps the news from her eldest son Alaa. Hamad threatens Ra'ed that he will tell the chief if he doesn't sell the drugs that he has.

Samar hides the news about her husband's death from her children. Umm Manal (Manal's mother) refuses to allow Manal to visit her aunt. Alaa admires his Tunisian friend, Sawsan. Ra'ed tries to get close to Maysaa. Alaa returns from abroad after getting his Ph.D. and learns of his father's death.

Umm Mona (Mona's mother) quarrels with her daughter for visiting her aunt behind her back. Alaa tells Sawsan about his father's death and apologizes for keeping his distance. Samar informs Umm Alaa (Alaa's mother) that she is pregnant.

Amal complains to Maysaa about her alcoholic father. As Hamad offers for Ra'ed to work with him to distribute drugs, the chief teaches him a lesson. Ra'ed's father tries to force him to wed his cousin for the inheritance. Marwan catches feelings for Sawsan after he hits her with his car.

Umm Alaa (Alaa's mother) asks the principal to keep Faysal away from her son Ayman, all in an attempt to keep the fact that they are half-brothers from Ayman. As Ra'ed sends Maysaa a letter, her brother Ali finds it. Maysaa admonishes Ra'ed for talking to her.

Samar informs Umm Alaa that she wants to get a job. Abu Mona (Mona's father) is upset that his wife isn't caring properly for their daughter. As Umm Mona accuses Maysaa of stealing her money, she kicks Maysaa out of the house and takes her car.

As Sawsan informs her father that she doesn't want to wed her cousin, she asks Alaa to ask for her hand as soon as possible. Samar loses her baby.

Talal talks to his mother about letting Samar stay at their house. Fahd discovers that his father has another wife. Abu Hassan (Hassan's father) asks his wife and children to forgive him for being an alcoholic. Alaa gets arrested after he gets involved with Ra'ed and his drug gang.

Alaa gets charged in the drug case alongside Ra'ed. However, Ra'ed gets released after his father proves his innocence. Sawsan mistakenly believes that Alaa has left her. Marwan asks for Sawsan's hand. Umm Mona takes advantage of Alaa's predicament and slanders him in front of everyone she knows.

As Talal tries to convince Samar that she doesn't need a job, he promises to provide for her and her children. Abu Mona divorces his wife and kicks her out. Ra'ed quarrels with his father, who blocks Ra'ed's access to any money.

Sawsan asks her father to set a date for her wedding to Marwan. Talal helps Samar find a job. Umm Mona quarrels with her brother-in-law, who kicks her out.

As Ra'ed manages to set the gang up, they all get arrested, leading to Alaa's release. Sawsan and Marwan get married.

As Alaa returns to his job at the hospital, he is shocked to learn of Sawsan and Marwan's marriage. Abu Mona decides to take his wife back for his daughters' sake.

Sherifa returns to her husband's house. Sawsan tells her mother that she doesn't love Marwan and can't spend the rest of her life with him. Samar's manager catches feelings for her, which makes Talal jealous.

Ayman learns that Faysal has the same father as him. When Alaa goes to meet Sawsan, her mother informs him about her marriage and asks him to keep his distance.

Umm Alaa tells Samar that she wants to tell their respective children of the connection between them. Mona is upset when she learns that Alaa is in love with someone else.

Alaa is shocked when Mazn tells him that her father forced her to wed a guy as old as him, leading Alaa to report the incident to the police. Sherifa quarrels with her daughter Mona over her lack of interest in their lives.

As Talal's mother dies, Samar decides to leave the house. Ra'ed's step-mother quarrels with him. Mona tries to appeal to Alaa.

Ra'ed reveals to his father that the latter's wife has been cheating on him. Sawsan discovers that she is pregnant after she passes out. Samar's colleague destroys files that belong to Samar. The social services take charge of Mazn's case.

Manal informs Umm Alaa that Mona loves Alaa. Alaa meets Jumana and grows to admire her. Ibrahim asks Alaa for Maysaa's hand in marriage. Mazn's father forcibly returns her to her husband. Samar is accused of negligence after files go missing from her computer.

Ra'ed is fired from his job at the cafe. Alaa tries to convince Mazn's father to save her from her elderly husband. Ra'ed tells Alaa that Sawsan was devastated over his disappearance. Samar's manager apologizes to her after he discovers that the secretary has been plotting against her.

As Abu Ra'ed's wife tries to seduce Ra'ed, she discovers that he is in love with Maysaa. Mazn enlists Alaa's help after she escapes her husband. Samar refuses to marry Talal.

Sherifa reports Alaa to the police for having Mazn at his house. In retaliation, Sherifa's husband divorces her, and her sister refuses to allow her to stay with her. Abu Ra'ed's wife tries to locate Maysaa to sabotage her relationship with Ra'ed.

As Abu Mazn (Mazn's father) rushes her to the hospital, Alaa tries to convince him to help her before she passes away. After Amal takes a photo of Abu Ra'ed's wife with a guy at a cafe, she sends the photo to Abu Ra'ed. Alaa asks Sawsan to look after her baby and her husband.

Maysaa informs Amal that she left Ra'ed and will be getting engaged to Ibrahim. Abu Ra'ed discovers that his wife has been cheating on him. As Samar meets Maysaa, the latter finds out that Samar was her father's wife.

Umm Alaa tells Alaa about Samar. Abu Ra'ed and his wife pass away. Maysaa suspects that Ra'ed is the one who killed his step-mother.

Manal confesses her love for Alaa. Samar's manager asks for her hand in marriage. Jumana tells her father that she loves Alaa. Alaa discovers that there has been a misunderstanding with Ra'ed, leaving the latter unaware that Alaa is Maysaa's brother.

Samar agrees to marry her manager. Abu Mona marries Bashayer, leaving Sherifa to quarrel with Umm Alaa when she finds out, on the mistaken assumption that Umm Alaa is the one who arranged it.

Ra'ed's neighbor explains the truth about her and Ra'ed's relationship to Maysaa. Bashayer informs her husband of her pregnancy. As Sawsan loses her baby, she tells Marwan that she is still in love with Alaa.

When Bashayer gives birth, Umm Mona tries to kidnap her son. Manal intervenes with the kidnapping and stops her. Umm Mona passes away. Maysaa weds Ra'ed and they have a son. A gang member mistakes Alaa for Ra'ed and kills him.
