It has become Nader's yearly habit to throw a party and invite his children, and it has become his children's habit of disappointing him by not appearing. Nader's wife, Thoraya, gets mad when he posts a video dancing with the kitchen crew; she still cannot fathom he left his job in the doplamtic corps to become a chef.

Rania watches the video when her father faints and she convinces the family to travel to Marsa Alam to see him. It turns out that Nader feigned illness with his doctor in exchange for making him his favorite dish.

Thoraya gets guilt-tripped and she decides to stay with Nader with her children. When Nader gets out of the hospital, he throws a party at the hotel, but Rasha learns that he faked his illness and Rania soon tells him that they've decided to leave Marsa Alam.

Nader gets mad at his staff and dismisses his family. Huda takes her daughter from her ex-husband. Nader starts paying back his 8-million-pounds debt to Huda. Nader plots with Rasha to incite Thoraya's jealousy by dancing together in the disco.

Rumors about Nader and Rasha spread in the hotel, and Nader decides to attentively makes use of such news. Thoraya decides to unite the family to travel to Marsa Alam. She and her children except for Rania arrive first, and Rania soon follows with her baby.

Thoraya claims that the baby is Amira's and Nader is heavy-hearted that he didn't get to know about his grandchild. Thoraya intends to learn more about Rasha to thwart her plans.

Nader meets Thoraya and stay up late conversing openly about their relationship. A drunken Huda returns to the hotel and Fadi tries to calm her down. Salwa visits Ehab, and when Nader arrives there, she hides at the bathroom.

Nader distracts Amira to prevent her from entering Ehab's room. Rasha knows that Huda has been sneaking into her room. Nader relentlessly tries to unite his family, but all he gets are excuses. He gets enraged and he plots to incite Thoraya's jealousy by asking Rasha to give him a massage.

Thoraya decides to take a new approach with Nader and agrees to go on a hunting trip with him, but when she gets there, she finds Rasha wearing a scarf that Nader gifted her with. Nader, meanwhile, is busy trying to set up Fadi and Rania together.

Nader sends Faten and Rasha back to the hotel to enjoy his family's company; he tries to clear the air between them and bring an end to their disputes. Despite his attempts, Ehab and Amira quarrel, and so do Noha and Mourad. When Rasha returns to the hotel, she finds Major General Medhat in her room.

Noha gets ill and is transferred to the hospital. The family learns that Noha and Mourad had a divorce. Nader learns that Alaa has been prevented from seeing his daughter. Nader refuses to hear what Rasha has to say, and helpless, she heads to the bar and develops a crush on the barman.

Rasha relapses and sleeps with her ex-husband. Nader invites Noha to the Zumba class to help solve her issues with Mourad. Nader reconciles with Faten and his virtual audience, and the New Year party is held as anticipated and the family celebrates together.

Rania's fiancé gets madly jealous when he sees her with Fadi. Major General Medhat tries to rape Rasha, but she calls out for Nader. Nader tries to fix things between Noha and Mourad, and his attempts to save Ehab's marriage are futile since Ehab resumes fooling around with Salwa.

It turns out that Mourad is seeing another woman. Rami tries to approach Rasha again. Nader cannot wrap his mind around Rania's approach to marriage; she is clearly in love with Fadi, but she wants to marry Adel. Alaa and Mourad get into a fierce fight.

Rania tells Fadi that Abdullah is her son, not Amira's, and his father is a college professor she was in love with. Things take an unexpected turn when baby Abdullah is kidnapped.

It turns out that Alaa kidnapped Amira's son just for the sake of money since he has been having financial difficulties recently. Rasha takes a day off to see whether Nader will notice her absence on one hand and to meet her ex-husband on the other.

Nader pays the ransom to save his grandchild, Tamer, and he tries to find out who helped Alaa with his foul scheme. Thoraya agrees to wed Rania to Fadi. Ehab tries to approach Salwa, but she rejects him.

Fadi and Rania get engaged. Fadi tells Rania that her father didn't have open-heart surgery; he just feigned illness to reunite his family. Mourad divorces Mona to marry Shahenda. Salwa blackmails Ehab to get him to give her the secret recipe.

Ehab futilely tries to get the secret recipe from his son who has spent a lot of time with his grandfather Nader. Rasha leaves Nader for Rami. When Morad returns to Marsa Alam, he finds Mona there with his mother.

Thoraya reprimands her son and disowns him for his unfaithfulness. Ehab goes to Salwa's house and he sees Amira there. Huda tries to get Rania to break up with Fadi. Rasha is pregnant, and Rami urges her to have an abortion.

Nader learns that Faten's assistant took part in kidnapping his grandson. Amira discovers that Ehab has been cheating on her with Salwa, and she unravels to her family the truth about his unemployment and how much of a disappointment he is.

Huda tells Nader the truth about Rania's son. Rasha is shocked to learn that Shahira is Rami's business partner. Thoraya learns that Nader feigned his illness, so she decides to return to Cairo with her children. Rasha and Nader get back together.

Nader proposes to Rasha and gathers his friends to inform them of the news. Khalil has a heart attack. Mourad tries to dissuade Rania from traveling to Germany.

Nader travels with Rasha and Fadi to Cairo to find Ehab, and they eventually find him at Nader's old apartment.

Thoraya asks Nader to divorce her when she learns that he has married Rasha. Nader travels to Germany to get some work done. Shahenda apologizes to Thoraya for marrying Murad. The psychiatrist tells Nader that Huda is going through a depressive episode.

Huda confesses that she is indeed involved in embezzlement and she is arrested pending trial. Nader travels to Germany to meet Abdullah's father and they return together to Egypt.

Abdullah converts to Islam to marry Rania. Noha's children get mad at her for intending to marry Ashraf. Adel quarrels with Thoraya. Rasha has a sudden change of heart regarding marrying Nader.

Amira decides never to take Ehab back. Nader tries to bribe the imprisoned girl's fiancé to get Huda out of prison. Thoraya falls ill and is transferred to the hospital where Nader stays with her.

When she gets out of the hospital, Nader takes Thoraya to the apartment where they got married, and they engage in a heartfelt conversation about their past and their mutual affection. They go to bed together, and the next day, Nader passes away.

A year after Nader's death, his wish to reunite his family is fulfilled, even though he's not there to witness it himself.
