Marcel and Andre are two ecology students who travel all the way to channel islands in California to investigate an environmental threat, there they find themselves cut off from the outside world with a strange woman who also lives on the island. After they start going through psychological and physical changes due to exposure to certain elements on the islands, one of them retreats and leaves the other alone, searching for answers.
