In a village terrorized by three demons, a Buddhist hero pulls out all the stops to throw back the demons, aided by nursery rhymes that help him evoke the goodness in them. He is helped by a demon hunter called Miss Duan, whom he falls for as he strives to meet the legendary Monkey King.
