Starting from a poor LA neighborhood, four friends find solace in their music as they use it to work through the various injustices they face day in and day out. As their brash lyrics attract controversy, their melodies and their authenticity soon transform the hip hop scene.
The film tells the story of the NWA musical group emergent from the poor streets of Compton in Los Angeles. In 1987, five African-American young men revolutionize the Hip hop music by telling their stories and the stories of their neighborhood.
