Prince Omar is one of the most influential men in Lebanon during the era prior to World War II. He enjoys himself so much by going to clubs and having many affairs with women. His sister-in-law complains about his lifestyle, but his wife sees no problem with what he does.

Nadia, the wife of Prince Omar, complains that she has not had a child yet, and Sarah's friend reveals to her that everyone is gossiping about her relationship with Omar. Nadia bleeds heavily, and her health deteriorates.

Nadia dies after a struggle with illness, and the funeral is held in the palace, attended by acquaintances and friends. Nariman decides to attend the funeral despite all the sensitivities.

Nadia's sister spends her time with Reem, the daughter of Prince Omar, and reproaches him for his lack of interest in her. Sensitivities arise between Nariman and her lover, Faris, because of Prince Omar's recent visit.

The French try to recruit Faris, Nariman's lover, for special missions. Prince Omar realizes the feelings of hatred that his late wife's sister has towards him.

Farah's father complains that she constantly comes to Prince Omar's house to visit Reem, who becomes in a bad psychological state and does not want to eat or study.

Farida suggests that Prince Omar marries Farah to avoid the tittle-tattles and so that a strange woman does not take over the title of the emirate from her.

Omar offers Farah to take her home after the party, but she embarrasses him, then he asks for her hand. Farah gets angry at this request, insults him in front of her parents, and confronts him with what he did against Nadia.

As Farah's brother disappears in mysterious circumstances, everyone tries to search for him. Omar thinks that Farah does not want to meet Reem because of what happened between Farah and Omar. Farah confesses that she loves a young man at the university.

While Omar is with Farah, Reem disappears from the palace, but they find her very tired.

Nariman is jealous of a woman who tries to flirt with her lover, but he reconciles her. Omar decides to leave his girlfriend, but she sticks to him, and he disagrees with Farah over the marriage negotiations.

Omar is confused about the temporary sham marriage that Farah proposed to him, after which he agrees to all the conditions that Farah sets for the marriage, and she, in turn, agrees to his conditions.

Omar announces his marriage to Farah after four months. Farah abandons her lover, while Nariman reveals the possibility that she may be pregnant.

Farah's brother decides to marry a girl whose family sees that he is not on the same social level. The conditions of WWII worsens, and Nariman turns out to be pregnant.

Farah's father goes with his son in order to propose to the girl he loves. Faris, Nariman's lover, is offered to marry another woman who wants to have children in exchange for keeping his relationship with Nariman.

Prince Omar decides to appoint Nariman's boyfriend as his engineer and supervisor in a large engineering project, and Faris turns down the marriage offer.

Nariman decides to finally confess to Faris that she is pregnant, but he asks her to have an abortion. The prince is arrested on charges of insulting France, upon which demonstrations erupt in the streets.

Faris's mother gets angry when she learns that he has rejected his cousin's proposal to marry him. Farah and Omar's wedding is approaching in a week, and Nariman returns to Egypt.

Farah decides to set up a separate room for herself in the palace where she will live with Omar after marriage, despite the objection of Omar's aunt. Faris tries to find Nariman, while Farah prepares for her wedding day.

Farah is finally at Prince Omar's house, and she is waiting for her mother to come, while Omar asks her to tell him anything about last night that they did not spend yesterday.

Nariman is fed up with the austere village life. Omar and Farah try to deal with their families almost naturally, and Sarah asks Omar about his relationship with his wife.

Omar decides to appoint someone to accompany Farah on her way to and from university. Nariman's friend offers her to take care of her son.

Omar gets angry at Farah, who meets her college classmate and ex-boyfriend in a café. Faris finally agrees to marry his cousin. Omar goes out with Farah in a public evening.

The whole family rejoices that Faris has finally married his cousin, but a problem arises because she broke up with her fiancé in order to marry him.

As Omar embarks on an affair with Charlotte, the foreign woman he has recently met, Sarah breaks into the bedroom while they are inside.

Sarah vows to take revenge on Omar and slander him, but her friend prevents her. Omar asks Farah to leave school for a month in order to accept an urgent invitation.

Farah receives a message from Sarah about Omar's behavior outside the house, which angers Farah a lot, asking him to solve his problem with her, or else she will leave the house.

During the trip, Omar feels a sudden attraction to Farah and catches feelings for her. Kamal is killed in mysterious circumstances, and everyone suspects that it is a political crime.

Munir is forced to tell Nariman that Faris traveled with his cousin to Alexandria to marry her, accompanied by Omar, Farah and Reem, upon which she breaks down.

Nariman gives birth to her son after Munir married her to protect her. Farah's brother prepares for his wedding to Zina, and the mother refuses to attend the wedding.

As Farah is angry that Omar's French girlfriend is at the same party, she decides to return to Beirut and stays all the time in her room.

Farah is still in the same state of estrangement in her relationship with Omar, despite all his attempts to prove his goodwill towards her.

Nariman gets angry when Faris ignores her while she is in the same place. Omar searches Farah's things and discovers that there are pictures of her ex-boyfriend.

Farah gets angry when Omar kisses her, and he becomes obsessed with her. Omar tries to support Kamal's widow in her misfortune. The wedding of Farah's brother takes place.

During the wedding, Sarah comes to talk to Omar, but he tells her that he is upset with what she did. Omar asks Kamal's widow who she suspects killed her husband, and she tells him that it is Colonel Marcel.

Omar apologizes to Farah for what he did to her during her brother's wedding because he was drunk. Munir tries to persuade Nariman to travel in order to continue singing.

Charlotte's relative discovers the relationship she has with Omar and decides to expel her from the country. Munir tries to help Nariman regarding Faris's return to the picture.

Omar asks Munir to tell him where Nariman is. Farah's mother decides to teach Farah's sister-in-law how to live in a palace.

Omar expresses his feelings for Farah. Nariman is forced to leave her son in the care of Munir's relative. Kamal's widow claims that Omar molested her and killed her husband.

As Omar is surprised by Kamal's widow's accusations against him, he decides to ask Farah to stay for a few days in Mount Lebanon in order to calm the situation.

Farah asks Omar to tell her his secret in exchange for her telling him where she was. Farah and Omar grieve for the death of the writer Ameen Rihani.

After spending the night excessively drinking, Farah finally decides to submit herself to Omar voluntarily. Kamal's widow continues to spread her lies about Omar.

Farah's brother mistreats his wife, while his mother refuses to host her daughter-in-law's family, and the father expels his wife's guests.

Omar learns of new developments in Kamal's case. Farah's sister-in-law says that her husband intends to divorce her, asking her father-in-law not to tell her parents.

Kamal's widow continues to slander Omar so that he does not open Kamal's file, and Farah supports him against her. Farah's brother refuses to let his wife enroll in university.

Farah's parents' relationship is threatened by divorce. The French authorities keep Omar under surveillance due to his frequent meetings with suspicious people.

Farah and her brother try to dissuade their father from divorcing their mother, but he insists on the divorce. Farah's brother, along with his mother, believes that Zina is the reason and threatens to divorce her, then his father threatens to disinherit him if he does so.

Farah asks Omar to intervene in her parents' problem. Omar decides to temporarily stop distributing leaflets so as not to attract the attention of the French police.

Everyone is invited to attend the screening of a movie starring Nariman. Farah's brother treats his wife badly after she learns that he is cheating on her and threatens to divorce her if she tells his father.

One of Omar's men escapes from prison, and the latter tries to help him hide from the police. Everyone refuses to host Farah's mother because she is divorced.

Omar is formally charged with the murder of Kamal and is arrested. As an investigation is conducted with him, he is taken to prison after he is proven guilty.

Everyone tries to help Omar in his ordeal. Farah's father decides to appoint a lawyer for Omar. Munir and Nariman decide to finalize the agreement and proceed with the divorce.

Faris goes to Sarah's house and attacks her because of what she did to Omar. Moreover, she threatens him that she will file a defamation case against him. Farah's mother tries to patch things up with her ex-husband, but to no avail.

Farah again becomes suspicious of Omar because of the course of the case. Farah's brother continues to humiliate his wife by forcing her to sit down to watch him cheating on her.

Farah takes advantage of the alienation between her and her husband, telling her father that she wants a divorce from him. Omar is ordered not to draw attention to his subordinate who is responsible for distributing the leaflets.

As Farah visits Omar in prison and tells him that she hates him, he tells her that he is innocent, but to no avail. Omar's trial begins, and the witness decides to retract his statements against Omar.

Kamal's son volunteers to testify in favor of Omar, saying that it was his mother who killed his father in cooperation with the colonel. Omar is exonerated, and everyone celebrates his innocence.

Farah decides to confront her husband with everything that happened after the acquittal, and he tells her that he loves her but cannot forgive her for her wrongdoing, after which he divorces her.

After the divorce, Omar decides to leave the palace in order for Farah to live with Reem and moves to another place, while Faris advises him to postpone the announcement of the divorce.

Faris decides to visit Nariman at her home. Everyone marvels at the colonel's staying out of prison. The father discovers that Farah married Omar only for Reem's sake.

After the father gets angry when he learns of Farah and Omar's deal, he asks to take Farah and Reem with him, and Omar agrees.

Omar and Sarah mend fences. Meanwhile, Faris tries to get Munir and Nariman acquainted.

Faris proposes to Nariman and stipulates that she quit art, after which he consults his friend Omar about the matter.

A prostitute, whom Omar got to know, wonders why he has not approached her. Nariman's marriage to Munir is revealed in a newspaper, which angers Faris.

Farah decides to ask Omar to get back to her, especially after she learned about her pregnancy, but she sees him with the prostitute and gets angry. Nariman asks to visit Omar to consult him about her problem.

Farah's father decides to get back to his wife. Zina undergoes surgery after she gets into a car accident, and her child is aborted.

Faris' wife offers Nariman to adopt her son. Faris is summoned for interrogation on charges of assaulting someone.

When Faris visits Nariman, she threatens him with harm if he tries to take her son from her. Faris sees his son for the first time, and Farah's brother tries to atone for his sin against Zina.

Kamal's wife commits suicide in her confinement and leaves a message for Farah. Nariman decides to stop singing in public clubs.

Nariman is sad and angry when she finds out that Munir will marry again.

Shafiq is released after many years of imprisonment and is preparing to marry Jamal, Munir's aunt. Faris' mother plots against Nariman and considers killing her.

As the colonel fears being exposed by Fawzi Shaker, he decides to plot to kill him, deluding him into thinking that he will help him travel.

The High Commissioner decides to declare Beirut an open city. Omar's palace is threatened with siege, and he learns from Faris that he is wanted for arrest.

The flames of war erupt in Beirut, during which Omar goes to Farah and Reem, after which he detains a group of French soldiers. Zina dies.

Farah's brother suffers a severe breakdown after Zina's death and stays with her in the room, refusing that anyone enters. Meanwhile, Farah collapses when she learns the news.

Authorities announce a cease-fire in Beirut. Nariman dies in a plotted car accident.

Faris gets Nariman's son after her death. After Omar and Farah mend fences, Farah gives birth to Omar's child.
