Hani tries to convince his uncle Abdel Dayem, an employee at the Passports Authority, to issue an illegal passport for a friend, but the uncle refuses. At home, Mahmoud asks his father to build an apartment due to the cramped house and his wife’s birth approaching, but Abdel Dayem refuses due to being cash-strapped. The family faces a difficult ordeal due to the father's integrity in his work.
