A market rat helps Nermine escape to become a harem maid. Meanwhile, queen Zubaida tries to plague queen Terken of whom she's jealous. Nerime is shocked to learn that the destiny awaiting her is to become a maid at the harem of Malik-Shah.
In clear rejection of marrying Ahmed Khan, Aton Khatun, the daughter of Malik-Shah, runs away, and her uncle Nasr Khan looks for her. The tattoo on Nermine's neck is discovered, and she becomes queen Terken's maid.
Nermine opens up to queen Terken about her past and her true identity. Meanwhile, Aton Khatun is kidnapped and tortured in the light of her uncle's attempts to find her.
Terken tells Nerime about her rivalry with Zubaida and how she prevents her from leaving the palace, and Nerimne promises to help and enacts a plan to facilitate her going out of the palace. Omar Khayyam comes to Samarkand to visit king Nasr Khan.
When Nermine communicates to Malik-Shah that Terken intended to poison Zubaida, He urges Terken to leave the palace. Nerime then goes to an engraver to break the spell Zubaida cast upon Malik-Shah, while Zubaida dwells on proving the unjust treatment she received at Terken's hands.
Nermine plans to enact the counter-spell on Malik-Shah, and the slave seller continues to torture Aton Khatun, unaware that she is Malik-Shah's daughter. Hassan helps Fairouz escape slavery.
Malik-Shah takes the magical potion to break the spell cast upon him. The king's guards have Asser captured, and in prison, he incites the prisoners to revolt against the kings and follow the Imam of the Muslims who has the authority of a ruler.
Nagham confesses to Zubaida that Nermine lied to her and the honey wasn't poisoned. Hassan's attempt to escape prison and free the slaves are successful. Malik-Shah accepts Terken's plead now that the magic spell is broken.
The slave seller makes use of Aton's enchanting voice to get her to sing. Upon learning that Terken didn't intend harm, she comes back to the palace and rules as the lady of the palace. Zubaida is arrested. Raw'aa recognizes Aton, but Omar doesn't believe her.
Terken comes up with a plan to take revenge on Zubaida. Raw'aa confirms that queen Aton reported the news to Omar.
With Hassan and Fairouz's help, Aton escapes from the slave seller. Terken does her best to keep her husband Malik-Shah.
Hassan kills the slave seller and looks after Aton. Terken casts a spell on Zubaida to avenge.
Aton runs away from Hassan. Omar Khayyam goes to the palace to meet Malik-Shah, while the king's right hand, better known as Nizam Al-Mulk, goes to fetch Aton back from her uncle Nasr Khan's place.
Nasr Khan lies to Nizam Al-Mulk and claims that Aton is dead, but to everyone's shock, she returns home safely. Fairouz tells Hassan that Nizam Al-Mulk is looking for a writer to work at the Divan (the government ministry), and Omar suggests some names.
Aton informs her parents of what she had to go through in captivity. Nermine, meanwhile, develops a crush on the handsome Omar Khayyam. Now that Aton is safe and sound with her family, she vows revenge on her kidnappers.
Terken intends to get rid of Zubaida's son to guarantee an easy ascension to the throne, and she gives orders for Nizam Al-Mulk to be discharged. Enraged, Nizam Al-Mulk vows revenge on Terken.
Malik-Shah rejoices at the news of Terken's pregnancy, and he returns Nizam Al-Mulk to his position.
Sahar informs Nizam Al-Mulk of Sahar's foul plot against him. Hassan Khayyam goes to the palace to meet Nizam Al-Mulk, and there, he engages in a conversation with Omar Khayyam.
Nizam Al-Mulk accepts Hassan Al-Sabbah to work as a writer at the Divan, and Terken gets enraged as Zubaida escapes from prison.
To cover up for himself, Hassan murders one of his men. Sherihan collapses that Malik-Shah has raped her. Aton recognizes Hassan who she remembers as the man who helped her evade the slave seller, but he denies any knowledge of the matter.
Her parents' cruelty and materialism shock Aton. Terken refuses to let Raw'aa be Omar's maid. Nizam Al-Mulk informs Malik-Shah of Terken's plot.
Five years pass after Hassan Al-Sabbah occupies Samarkand, and Ahmed Khan becomes a follower of the Imam of Muslims, while Malik-Shah fights Hassan and his followers. Zubaida enters the palace in disguise to encourage her son Bareky to help his father.
Abu Youssif (Youssif's father) witnesses a change in Hassan's attitude since he doesn't free slaves anymore and he is growing greedy. Hassan, meanwhile, fights tooth and nail to increase his followers.
Terken gets mad when Bareky is chosen as a successor to his father, and she plots with Hassan to get rid of Nizam Al-Mulk. Hassan steadfastly trains more men to boost his army.
Nizam Al-Mulk tells Malik-Shah that queen Terken had Zubaida imprisoned in the past. Malik-Shah is enraged when the Caliph Al-Baghdadi disobeys him.
At queen Terken's orders, Nermine incites Hassan Al-Sabbah to kill Nizam Al-Mulk, and Aram is indeed sent to kill him.
Malik-Shah learns that it was Hassan who instigated the killing of Nizam Al-Mulk. Aton wants her husband to divorce her for he despises her family and clan. Zubaida whispers into Ali's ears that Terken is behind murdering Nizam Al-Mulk.
Terken appoints Taj Al-Mulk (Barkyaruq) a minister of the state, and Hassan still encourages his men to walk around shedding blood and wreaking havoc, despite Omar's warnings.
Malik-Shah dies, but Terken keeps the news of his death a secret while she leads the army and announces her son Mahmoud the legitimate prince. Aton, meanwhile, gets severely ill.
Omar reprimands Nermine for what she did. Bareky is arrested and Nermine decides to help him. Ali kills Terken to avenge his father.
