Fayrouz falls for his master Ghanem’s daughter, Maryam, after he saved her from kidnapping. But Ghanem rejects the slave’s wish to marry Maryam, who also falls for him, and announces that he will marry her to another man. Fayrouz and Maryam agree to run away together, and he marries her on the day she was supposed to marry another man. Twenty years later, the story is repeated in Fayrouz’s house.
