When Dr. Jenna James tries to salvage her reputation after a scandal at hospital, everything is threatened with the arrival of a handsome new doctor. Meanwhile, DiDi struggles to secure her union rights, as Patsy has to return to floor duty following her cutbacks.

The staff is in peril with an infectious disease spreading around. With DiDi's sister-in-law Yvette present, DiDi's family struggles find their way to her workplace. Patsy makes advances towards Dawn, which she welcomes.

Dr. James is taken by surprise when workplace politics are brought to the surface. As Patsy's mother visits, he asks Dawn to act against her nature. A family disagreement erupts when DiDi's mother-in-law asks for Billy Barnes's medical consultation.

Further complications on the day of the Symposium leave Dr. James concerned. DiDi has to make a tough choice between her career and her family. When two British visitors arrive, Dawn and Dr. James believe something is quite mysterious about them.

DiDi struggles to find a way to save the ward. Unable to live amidst mounting lies, Jemma confronts her husband. Following a memorial service, the staff experience an awakening of sorts.

DiDi tries one last attempt to save the ward and the staff, while Jenna tries to turn down an offer. Margueritte drops a shocking revelation in a secret-sharing session, much to Patsy's surprise. Following a ruse, a chaotic series of events derail the ward.
