In an interview, director Danny Boyle has joked about calling the sequel “T2” if the director of “The Terminator 2” James Cameron would approve, because his movie is sometimes referred to as “T2”. The cast later said that they would choose the same name. Even though “Terminator 2” is not officially called “T2”, Danny Boyle called the movie “T2: Trainspotting”, because searching for “T2” on the Internet would give results regarding “The Terminator 2”.
