Dr. Amina suffers due to the extravagance of her husband, the employee Hussein, who borrows from everyone in order to fulfill his desires, while her sister, the student Salwa, exploits her classmate Kamal in the name of love so he will help her study.

The office boy Sharnoubi tries to convince Amina to take a bribe to change the forensic report of an accused man, but she refuses. Salwa decides to marry the wealthy Zuhdi, despite the large age difference between them, and leave the penniless Kamal.

Hussein tells Amina that he has squandered the work money in his custody, and that he will go to prison if he does not pay it, forcing Amina to accept the bribe to save her husband. With Sharnoubi blackmailing her, the police arrest Amina after discovering their agreement and she goes to jail.

Zuhdi divorces Salwa after a few months of marriage. Hussein tries to hire a lawyer to defend Amina, but her confession complicates matters. Fifi tries to convince Hussein to cooperate with her and accept a bribe to facilitate her task at work.

Hussein's son has a car accident and he fails to have him treated. Ismail, Amina's father, is forced to give private lessons. Hussein tries to convince the employee Abdul Samad to accept a bribe to facilitate the work.

Hussein decides to leave his government job and work in trade, and plans with Salwa to establish a private project. Meanwhile, Abdul Samad suffers due to his wife’s increasing demands.

Hussein and Salwa plan with Fifi to open a clothing store and travel abroad to buy the clothes. In prison, a friendship develops between Amina and the thief Saadia.

Ismail prepares to travel with his daughter Salwa to Spain to bring goods to open the store. Saadia marries Shaaban after her release from prison. Hani travels to take his job as a doctor in a village.

Ten years pass and Amina is released after serving her prison sentence. She is surprised when she learns that her father and Hussein left their government jobs and are working in trading.

Amina's son tries to bribe the club's football coach to include him in the team. Hussein quarrels with Zaki because the latter refuses to pay his debts to Fifi.

Hussein and Azmi agree to cooperate together, while Amina objects to her family's illegal trade. In the village, Hani discovers that nurse Bassiouni is impersonating a doctor.

Hussein advises Amina to keep up with reality and what is happening around her. Amina's mother tries to convince her husband Ismail to open their own shop. Amina gets angry when her son neglects his studies and wants to follow his father's path.

Hani gets to know the patient Mona and feels attracted to her. Azmi tries to get closer to Salwa, who proposes marriage to him.

Amina meets Hani and recalls memories of their work together at the Authority of Forensic Medicine. She tells him about the business that her family operates. Salwa marries Azmi.

Amina's son is taken to the hospital and she discovers his addiction to drugs. Amina's mother suggests to Ismail that he should open a hair salon in place of the clothing store.

Amina scolds Hussein for his absence from home and for not knowing anything about their son. Salwa asks her husband Azmi to make her his partner in his new project.

Hani treats Amina's son, while Hussein continues to make business deals with Abdul Samad and Azmi. Hani discovers Mona's past and her marriage against her will, which affected her psychological state.

Fifi tries to convince Hussein to work with her again. As Azmi and Salwa quarrel over her percentage in his new project, he decides to divorce her.

As her son regains his health, Amina asks Hussein for a divorce. Hani asks Amina to marry him. Hussein struggles financially and fails to repay the bank loans, after which the police arrest him.
