The perfect life of the wife and mother Kate Stenson begins to fall apart, when she finds out that her adopted son Logan is suffering from serious mental issues. As she starts to uncover dark secrets about his past that could threaten to destroy her family's life.

This movie is based on the true experiences of a family that faced betrayal and lost love. Kate is looking for a lifestyle that fits her formidable looks and thus marries a guy whose father is the mayor of the town and who would do everything in his power to maintain his position and reputation. With her husband, she has two children, one of which is adopted (Logan) who is diagnosed with a dangerous disease, thus Kate’s life that seems rather perfect turns into hell.
