As she turns 29, Issa Dee reflects on her relationship with her boyfriend, Lawrence. When she goes with her best friend Molly to an open-mic-night, she meets with her old flame Daniel.

Lawrence is worried about the way Issa has been ignoring him, and she later reconciles with him. Issa faces a mishap at work. Molly connects with a new guy named Jared.

Issa and Lawrence are trying to work things out between them. After her coworkers badmouth her, Issa's beach day event proves to be successful. Molly breaks up with Jared so she can get accepted into an exclusive dating app.

Issa asks Daniel to be a speaker at a Career Day. Molly meets a new date and tells him about an awkward situation at work. Lawrence connects with someone new.

Issa tries to take down her rapping video off the internet. Molly shows off her new guy to her friends at a party. Issa and Daniel get closer. Lawrence questions his future with Issa.

Issa is struggling with her guilt after cheating on Lawrence. Molly breaks up with Jared once again. Issa tries to bond with Lawrence.

As Issa's fundraiser is a success, she clashes with Molly. Lawrence confronts Issa about her relationship with Daniel.

Lawrence refuses to reconcile with Issa. The girls go on a trip, where Molly and Issa make amends, while Lawrence hangs out with his friends. Issa is faced with a harsh truth.
