Rahma tries to get her son Akmal to wed Mona, but he refuses to. The new neighbors ask for the doorman's number, but Akmal does not respond. As Hussein sedates his wife Rahma, he finds a mother and her daughter on the stairs and invites them in.

Akmal leaves his room for Jamila and her mother to spend the night in. When Mona sees them, she screams, alerting Rahma to their presence in the apartment. Rahma kicks Jamila and her mother out. Jamila discovers that her mother arranged the whole thing to marry her to Akmal.

Akmal stipulates that Hussein must buy him a car to keep silent about the fact that Hussein invited Jamila and her mother to stay over. Mona tells Jamila to stay away from her fiancé, Akmal. When the minister sends a new engineer to work with Akmal, he discovers that Jamila is the new engineer.

Jamila's mother is thrilled that her daughter is working with Akmal. Akmal tells Jamila of his intent to visit with a gift to apologize for them getting kicked out. Rahma asks Hala to monitor Akmal and Jamila. After she asks Hussein and Akmal to kick Jamila out of the building, Rahma leaves her home.

Akmal and Hussein decide to visit Jamila and her mother to apologize in Rahma's stead. Mounir befriends Hussein. Akmal confesses that he likes Jamila. As Jamila visits Akmal at home, Rahma arrives to rebuke him. Jamila finds women's clothes where Akmal tried to hide her.

Hussein is surprised when Rahma returns home. Rahma decides to work with her son to keep an eye on him. When a former acquaintance of Akmal shows up, Rahma tries to use her to upset Jamila. But Jamila tells her that he is entitled to see various girls to pick the best.

Rahma tells Hala to visit Akmal at home while she and Hussein go out for lunch. As Hussein returns to the apartment with Manal, Akmal and Rahma arrive, so Hussein hides Manal in Akmal's room before taking her to Mounir's apartment. Hoda discovers Manal's presence in the apartment.

Hoda thinks that Mounir is cheating on her with Manal, but the latter claims to be a masseuse who is here to give Hoda a massage. Manal tells Jamila that Hussein introduced her to Akmal so the latter can gain knowledge about girls, but Akmal wants to marry for love.

Hussein challenges Mounir to get Mona to fall for him. Akmal convinces Jamila to stay together. When Hala visits Akmal's house, Hussein mistakenly believes her to be Mona, before Mona catches them together. Hussein and Rahma agree on a three-month period to allow Akmal to get to know Jamila.

After the agreement for a three-month period of the families to get to know each other, Hussein returns drunk with Hala and Mona. When Akmal gets out of Jamila's room, Hoda decides to marry them off and tries to convince Jamila to seize the chance to get married.

When Hoda informs Rahma that she caught Akmal in Jamila's room, Rahma puts the blame on Jamila. Hala tells Jamila that Rahma doesn't want her to wed Akmal. Hussein and Mounir prepare Akmal for the war he is about to get embroiled in, due to Rahma and Jamila's hatred of each other.

Hala advises Jamila to listen to Rahma. As Hussein saves Mounir after Mona accuses him of raping her, he asks him to sleep in his place at home to enable Hussein to leave for his date with a Lebanese girl.

Rahma leaves the house after Hussein agrees to host Mounir after the latter quarrels with his wife. Rahma sends Hala to Akmal's room, plotting to have Jamila catch them together, but it turns out that Mounir is the one in the room. Rahma opposes Akmal's engagement to Jamila.

When Jamila leaves the company, Hoda suggests to fake a proposal from Samir to shake Akmal up. Rahma approves Hussein's suggestion to have Raghda and Akmal get engaged. Mounir weds Mona in secret.

Mounir lies to Hoda and claims that Mona is sick and can be used to get information about Akmal. Jamila is annoyed by what Raghda says about her childhood relationship with Akmal. Akmal reveals to Jamila that he used Raghda to see if Jamila will get jealous.

As Jamila tries to cook Akmal's favorite meal, a mishap gets both of their families to fall asleep. Mona tells Jamila that she needs to test Akmal before their marriage. Kamilia goes to visit Akmal, who hides her in his bedroom when Jamila arrives.

When Jamila tells Mona that Akmal failed the first test, Mona encourages her to test his jealousy. Jamila uses Hoda's plan to get Samir to pretend to be her childhood friend, which annoys Akmal after he sees them together in her office.

Hoda is upset when she discovers that Mounir has married Mona. Akmal tries to play it cool when it comes to Jamila and Samir's relationship, even when he finds them dancing in her apartment. Samir challenges Akmal for Jamila's affection.

When Samir notices Akmal's jealousy, he advises her to spend the rest of her life with Akmal. Jamila gets upset when Rahma rebukes her for going with Akmal to the cinema to celebrate her birthday. Rahma is offered the leadership of a political party.

Raghda advises Jamila to challenge Rahma in the elections to prove that she is stronger. When Jamila mistakenly believes that Hussein killed Rahma, she reports him to the police. Rahma wakes up to discover that Hussein and Raghda have been arrested.

Hoda believes Mounir when he claims that Mona will inherit 5 million dollars. Mona informs Rahma that Jamila is going to run for elections. Jamila recruits Hala to keep an eye on Akmal and Rahma. Rahma and Jamila decide to get close to the other's family for information.

Mounir complains to Hussein that Jamila and Hoda have lost it as they think that Rahma is a spy. Hussein tells him that Rahma has gone mad as well and she thinks that Jamila and Hoda are spies. They decide to take advantage of the women's preoccupation with each other to invite a belly dancer over.

Hoda informs Jamila that Mounir made a deal with the dancer Hamdiya to pretend that she owns their apartment, all in an attempt for them to stay with Rahma's family. The three claim that the dancer kicked them out and tell Akmal that they will stay with his family until the dancer leaves.

When Akmal goes to kick Hamdiya out, she recognizes him from back when he used to bring a girl to her nightclub. Akmal has Jamila stay in his room. Jamila decides to seize the chance to get close to Akmal. Hamdiya offers Mona a job as a dancer.

Hamdiya claims that she got the apartment lease put in her name. Rahma locks the refrigerator to keep the food from Jamila and Hoda. Hussein convinces Rahma that he will get Hamdiya to leave the apartment, but Mounir suspects that he just wants to live with her.

When Jamila disguises herself as an Asian billionaire called Natasha, Rahma decides to wed her to Akmal. Hala advises Rahma to treat Hoda's family well in front of Natasha. Jamila, under disguise, discovers that Hussein is married to Raghda.

Rahma asks Hussein to treat Mounir's family well in front of Natasha. Akmal confesses to Natasha that he had several affairs with foreign girls behind his mother's back. When Hamdiya threatens to expose Hussein, his attempt to keep her silent leads to him thinking that she died.

As Hussein plots to implicate Mounir in Hamdiya's murder, he moves her to Mounir's apartment and gets Akmal to impersonate Hamidya and call him. When Mounir enters the room, Mona catches him and thinks that he killed Hamdiya.

As Akmal discovers that Natasha is actually Jamila, he informs Rahma of the truth. Hussein divorces Raghda, who tells Rahma about their marriage. Hamidya wakes up and reveals that Hussein and Akmal are nightclub patrons. Rahma leaves her home and goes to stay with Hoda.

Hoda advises Jamila not to obey Rahma or let Akmal do what he wants. Rahma tells Akmal that Jamila needs to make sacrifices for him and that he needs to get Jamila to hate herself. Due to their mothers' interference, Akmal and Jamila grow to hate the idea of getting married.
