Psychiatrist Eldon Chance faces a divorce crisis while trying to keep his relationship with his daughter. Chance decides to help a mysterious woman who is being abused by her husband.

Dr. Chance reviews Jaclyn's previous psychiatrist, and an undercover visit with Jaclyn leads to an unsettling encounter with her husband.

While Jaclyn continues her treatment, Chance tries to keep himself and his family safe from Blackstone.

Chance and D begin tracking Raymond down.

Dr. Chance and D are keen on bringing down Detective Blackstone and they step up their surveillance, expecting to obtain hard evidence of his misconduct.

Jaclyn and Chance surrender to their feelings, and on the other hand, Chance and D search Raymond's house for evidence of his corruption while recovering at the hospital.
