Things at the theme park Westworld get interrupted when some of the android hosts start exhibiting weird behavior, as a mysterious figure, the Man in Black, starts attacking the hosts. The park's management scrambles to figure out what is going on.

As management comes up with a new narrative for the hosts, one of the guests falls for Dolores. Maeve makes a shocking discovery during maintenance.

Dolores struggles with her programming as she starts getting memories from past lives. Elsie and Stubbs are sent into Westworld to locate a host, but their search ends on an unexpected note.

Maeve makes a discovery that confirms her suspicions. The Man in Black continues his search for Wyatt. Theresa and Ford clash over the latter's plans for Westworld.

Hughes makes a discovery about the stray. Dolores struggles with visions that point her to the maze. The Man in Black runs into a familiar face as he continues his quest in Westworld.

Bernard discovers that Ford hasn't been truthful with him. Elsie raises suspicions around Theresa and the sabotage of the first-generation hosts. Maeve manipulates Felix into doing her bidding.

The identity of the people behind the conspiracy is revealed as Bernard takes the fall for the malfunctions in the park. Dolores and William make a perilous journey. Ford enacts his power play.

Maeve's erratic behavior turns violent. Teddy confronts the Man in Black after he has a vision about Dolores. Dolores tries to figure out what Arnold wants her to remember.

Things come to a head between Bernard and Ford after the former finds out the truth. Dolores runs into the Man in Black. Logan and William have a confrontation that sparks violent behavior in the latter.

The identity of the Man in Black is revealed, sparking a sudden realization for Dolores. Maeve has second thoughts about her escape plans. Ford reveals a plan 35 years in the making.
