Continuing the story of Max and his pet friends, Max goes on a trip to the countryside with his owner Katie,who got married and has a son called Liam. He learns to face his fears with the help of a dog named Rooster,while back home Gidget and Snowball are facing problems of their own.

In this sequel, Max and Duke's owner, Katie, gets married and has a child, Liam. Max discovers his inner fears through his anxiety about Liam's safety outside home, and the unfamiliar animal life in the farm where they spent their vacation. It is through trusted friends showing them how to be brave that Max and his friends Gidget, Daisy and Snowball learn to connect with their inner heros.
