When nuclear tests awaken a giant, dinosaur-like creature from slumber, Japan stands on the brink of disaster as the creature, called Gojira by the locals, threatens to destroy the country.
King Kong is captured and taken to Japan after a newspaper and television station funded by a pharmaceutical company discovers him on an island. As the giant gorilla soon escapes from captivity, he faces Godzilla in a fateful battle.
