The play follows two families that live in two neighboring houses and adore each other until a member of one family decides to marry. The devil suggests they buy their neighbors' house to expand. The conflict intensifies between the two friends Khaled and Jaafar due to an incitement by the devil, but the elders deal with it with their wisdom and they are all able to expel the devil.
