The town is still suffering from the death of Jason Blossom, when the new academic year begins. While Cheryl Blossom causes havoc, Archie makes the decision to pursue a career in music.

Archie begs Ms Grundy to tell the police what they knew. As Cheryl is trying to cope with Jason's death, Jughead finds out about the secret of Archie.

As Cheryl admits when was the last time she saw Jason, Jason's death is investigated by Betty and Jughead.

Betty and Veronica dig up information on Ms Grundy, learning some disturbing details about her background. On the other hand, Jughead tries to keep the local drive-in operating.

As the Blossom family decides to proceed in doing Jason's funeral, Betty is still deeply investigating Jason's death.

A serious rift happens between Valerie and Josie, due to Valerie's attempts to assist Archie. Betty and Jughead's investigation leads them to Polly.

When an important piece of evidence is intentionally ruined, rumors start to be spread around. On the other hand, Cheryl makes an unusual offer to Betty.

Archie and his pals get together to assist Fred, until one of them is ambushed, they devise a scheme that leads them to the area of Southside Serpent.

As Cheryl makes Archie a proposal, Veronica makes friends with a student who has been harmed by her father's unlawful activities.

As Fred goes forward with completing his divorce procedures, Archie wants to get back with Valerie. Betty's plan to throw Jughead a surprise birthday party is derailed by Cheryl.

Cheryl and Polly agree to attend the Homecoming for Jason's sake, however their plans are derailed by an unexpected discovery.

As Jason's killer is finally exposed, Archie and Veronica are taken aback by the arrest and must tell their parents what they've discovered.

When the truth about Blossoms' family business is uncovered, Cheryl is forced to deal with the repercussions. Jughead finds himself in hot water.
