The story follows two Korean American brothers who own a struggling shoe store and their African American friend, as they witness the fateful Rodney King verdict in 1992 LA, which leads to riots and chaos breaking out in LA.
Eli and Daniel are two Korean-American brothers fighting to keep their shoe store. They have an unusual friendship with Kamilla, an 11 year-old African-American. Each day, they carry on with their daily routine; Kamilla stresses about school, Elly takes care of the store and Daniel tries to have a good time, but when the king’s verdict is read, riots take place and chaos spreads everywhere. When the riot nears them, they have to fight for the store and for their dreams.
