The story of four people: Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand who share in the practice of investigating crimes and ensuring that justice is served to criminals. But as each works separately, they're blissfully unaware that their paths will cross.

With a new conspiracy crystalizing, Matt struggles to get rid of old habits, Jessica gets in trouble, Danny crosses paths with his match, and Luke believes he might've just found evidence to unlock the case.

A new challenge threatens the league when Elektra's secrets are unraveled, prompting Danny to change his ways, as Matt provides Jessica with insight, and Luke tries to locate the White Hat.

When the Defenders meet up over dinner to get to know one another, an unpleasant surprise awaits them in the form of party crashers with a vendetta against the group.

Elektra's loyalties are questioned when she flees after she prevents Murakami from murdering Murdock. Colleen quarrels with an old friend, while Luke struggles to make a point. Meanwhile, Murakami questions Alexandra's reliance on Black Sky.

In order to protect the Iron Fist, the group hides Rand, who revolts and attacks them. As Natchios has troubling memories from her past, Alexandra assures her she's not that person anymore.

The team is confronted by Gao, Bakuto, and Murakami at Midland Circle. Meanwhile, Elektra tries to recruit a new, important ally. Natchios tricks Rand and causes a power outage throughout the city.

With New York City on the edge of disaster as Elektra sees what's behind the wall, the team must do one more bid to save the city.
