After Khalifa convinces his mother to give him the money she saved so he can travel to Muscat to look for work there, he travels with his friend Badran and spends it on food and going to the movies.

Umm Khalifa (Khalifa's mother) is saddened by her son's spending all the money, and asks Nasser to help him look for work. Khalifa plans with Badran to bring workers from abroad and employ them in the country in exchange for money.

Khalifa convinces Nasser to bring in a foreign expert to help him on his farm, and he plots with the Indian Kashore to impersonate an agricultural expert to work with Nasser in exchange for money.

Umm Khalifa is furious about her son's request to mortgage the house to get money. Kashore waters the land until the plants die. Khaled prepares to open a small factory.

Kashore causes the land to become barren, while Nasser discovers his agreement with Khalifa. Abu Suleiman (Suleiman's father) asks his son to return to work in the village. Badran asks Khalifa to insist on mortgaging his mother’s house.

Khalifa asks his mother to ask for Fatima's hand in marriage for him, and leaves the house when his mother refuses the mortgage. Suleiman tells Nasser that his land has gone barren because of the fertilizers applied by Kashore. Umm Khaled scolds Umm Khalifa for spoiling her son.

As Abu Suleiman offers Khalifa a sum of money to trade in fish, Khalifa takes the money and spends it on himself. Mubarak decides to invest his money in agriculture.

Khalifa works with Saif in the market, while Qasim takes advantage of Khalifa’s greed and persuades him to sell Saif’s share to him. Suleiman asks his sister Asila to ask for her friend Munira's hand in marriage on his behalf. Khaled begins building the factory.

Khalifa tries to convince his mother to raise money to invest, and decides to mortgage the house behind her back. Saif opens a real estate office and Khalfan tries to warn him about Khalifa’s cooperation with Qasim. Fatima convinces Umm Khalifa to work with her in the sewing workshop.

Suleiman refuses Nasser's marriage to Asila. Saif complains to Umm Khalifa about what her son did and his illegal trade in the market. Khalifa opens a trading office with Kashore and Badran. The production line in Khaled's factory is inaugurated.

Nasser succeeds in cultivating his land with Mubarak's help. Khalfan takes over Saif's trading in the market, and quarrels with Qasim.

Suleiman plots with Badran and Khalifa to spoil Nasser’s crops and prevent him from marketing it so that he does not marry Asila. Khaled’s uncle falls ill and is taken to the hospital.

Abu Suleiman gathers the townspeople, and they decide to help Nasser with his loss, while Kashore steals his passport and money and flees. Umm Khalifa has a heart attack and is taken to the hospital when she learns that her house has been mortgaged and the money is lost.

Mubarak tells Saif of Suleiman’s involvement with Khalifa in Nasser’s loss. Khalifa extorts money from Suleiman so that he won't expose him. Badran disappears, and it turns out he has stolen the money.

Nasser manages to save his farm with Mubarak's help. Abu Suleiman is shocked to learn of his son's involvement in Nasser's loss. Khalifa regrets what he did and decides to work in a hotel and help his mother. A remorseful Badran is aided by Abu Suleiman who gives him a new job.
