Chris Emery, a nightclub performer, decides to assist the police in finding her husband's killer after learning of his murder. She soon finds herself torn between her brother-in-law Steve, who starts his own investigation into his sibling's death, and Max, a friend of her late husband. As the evidence starts to suggest that Max is the murderer, Chris finds herself in a risky situation.
