Ann Wilson catches her husband, assistant chemistry professor David Wilson, kissing another woman, but he claims that it is an innocent kiss of gratitude for his diligent student at the university. David is forced to listen to the advice of his friend, television writer Michael Haney, who advised him to claim that he is an undercover agent in the FBI and that he was kissing the woman to trap her.
