Police Officer Abu Farid (Farid's father) arrests the thief Saado with many stolen items and begins interrogating him. On the other hand, the children of the upholsterer Abu Ramez live in extreme poverty.

Saado confesses to stealing a box full of gold and money from Abu Ramez's shop, and the latter confirms that it is his. Abu Ramez's children discover that their father is wealthy.

Abu Ramez's family's circumstances change, and Nabil sees him begging. Abu Farid thinks about asking for the hand of one of Abu Ramez's daughters in marriage for his son Farid, and Samar seeks to marry Ramez because of his father's money.

Salah tries to get close to Hasna. Ahmed and Amira plan to get married. Abu Mustafa proposes marriage to Suhaila, Abu Ramez’s daughter, despite the large age difference between them.

An argument occurs between Abu Farid and Abu Mustafa when the two ask for the hands of Abu Ramez's two daughters. Salah quarrels with his brother Ramez over Hasna, and Rateb proposes to Sabah.

Nabil disguises himself as a beggar in order to reveal the truth about Abu Ramez. Sabah is shocked when she sees her father while he is begging. The soldier Farhan blackmails Abu Ramez for money in exchange for not exposing his secret.

Ramez tells his father about Salah's work in smuggling goods, and Suhaila asks Abu Masoud to propose marriage to her and promises to help him buy a house to live in after marriage.

Abu Ramez accompanies his son Ahmed to propose to Amira, and Abu Ramez discovers Abu Amira's work in smuggling goods. Abu Ramez and his wife quarrel over his hiding his work from her. Samar gets close to Abu Ramez out of greed for his money and leaves his son.

Salah tries to convince his father to quit begging and exploit the upholstery shop to store smuggled goods. Rateb discovers that Abu Ramez is working as a beggar. Amira seeks to help Ahmed and gives him her jewelry to conclude their marriage.

Abu Ramez thinks about leaving the begging profession. Sabah quarrels with Salah over their father’s shop. Abu Farid interrogates Abu Ramez on charges of begging, but the latter denies the matter.

Rasha is shocked when she learns that her father is a beggar, while Rateb advises the latter to hide for a while from everyone's sight so that they forget what he did. Rateb discovers that Abu Ramez owns a large building in the neighborhood.

Samar kicks Ramez out of her home after seizing the money he received from his father. The police raid the beggars' house to arrest Abu Ramez, and Hasna leaves Salah.

The police search for Abu Ramez, whose wife has a breakdown when she finds out about his work as a beggar. Nabil insists on supporting Rasha in her father’s ordeal. Ramez decides to take revenge on Samar. Abu Ramez is sentenced to prison after his arrest.
