When the middle-aged married couple Steve and Nicky Rawlings decide to leave the hectic city life in Leeds behind and move to the countryside, they quickly regret their decision as they encounter many problems, including having no internet connection.

Steve and Nicky call on Ken to help after their kitchen gets flooded, as Steve thinks that the source of the water is a natural spring. Steve tries to find Grizzo's missing pet panther, while Nicky walks the neighbor's dog.

Nicky and Steve are annoyed when Grizzo and his band start rehearsing outdoors. As Steve's web design business is facing competition, Matt and Meena's business venture is booming.

Chaos ensues when an ancient public right of way is discovered and it runs through Steve and Nicky's garden, which makes Steve clash with the drifters who insist on using it. Grizzo finds a new hobby.

Nicky and Steve long for their life back in the city, and all the exciting things they could be doing instead of their routine activities in the countryside.

When Nicky and Steve invite their friends from Leeds to a long-overdue housewarming party, things take an unexpected turn when they don't show up, while the news of the party circulates in the village.
