Aisha tries to get closer to her cousin, Jasim, but he’s in love with his neighbor, Latifa. Mariam and her mother argue because she wants to continue her studies abroad. Jasim's father kicks him out of the house, upsetting his mother and she rebels by refusing to eat.

Mariam gets sick after her mother's refusal to study abroad. Jasim's father is looking for him everywhere, and the police get involved when Jasim gets into a fight. He hides at a friend's house and contacts his mother to reassure her. Aisha tries to meet with Jasim and his father finds out.

Eissa tells the police about Jasim's whereabouts and he gets arrested with a 5-year sentence. His mother gets angry with Eissa and insists that he sleeps in another room. Mariam accuses Aisha that this is all her fault, and Turki asks Ahmed to drop charges against Jasim.

Abu Jasim (Jasim's father) gets into a fight with his daughter regarding who she is to marry, and Naema accuses him of carelessness. Turki confides to Ahmed his love of Mariam. Ahmed's older brother proposes to Latifa, who is still in love with Jasim.

Abu Jasim meets a woman. Latifa's mother is trying to persuade her to let go of Jasim. Jasim refuses to meet with his father. Turki is still in love with Mariam, and she finally finds out.

Abu Jasim gets married to Laila, and brings her home where conflicts start between her and his first wife, Naema. Saoud and Badriya get engaged. Latifa talks to Mariam about her mother forcing her to marry someone other than Jasim.

Abu Jasim's new wife, Laila starts to annoy Naema. Naema decides to let her daughter leave for her studies abroad in order to get back at Abu Jasim. Ahmed visits Jasim in prison and informs him that Ali will marry Latifa, to Aisha's delight.

The war between Abu Jasim's wives continues, specially after Abu Jasim warns Naema not to bother Laila. Naema decides to get Laila out of the house and to Basrah. Latifa tells her mother-in-law that Ali doesn't love her and only married her to spite Jasim.

Abu Jasim tells everyone not to go out of the house while he travels, but Laila doesn't listen to him and is assaulted when she goes to the market. Mariam tells Turki that she doesn't want to get married. Latifa tells her mother that she has changed after her marriage to Ali.

Abu Jasim gets home and discovers Laila's absence. Naema denies knowing anything about her. When they call the police, they are informed that Laila is at the hospital. Abu Jasim goes to her and discovers that she is pregnant.

Laila discovers that Naema was the one behind the attack and threatens her. Saoud's wife is suspicious that he is cheating on her. Laila asks Samir to work for her in return for a sum of money, and he informs her that Naema has another plan in store for her.

Naema devises a plan with Samir's help to convince Abu Jasim that Laila stole her gold. Abu Jasim discovers the missing gold, and Samir confesses to him about Naema's orders. Abu Jasim tells Samir to get out of the house. Mariam finds a job as a journalist with the help of Turki.

Abu Jasim discovers that Mariam wrote a story about her life, and confronts her. Laila tells Abu Jasim to kick Mariam out of the house like Naema. Naema's health declines and her daughters ask Abu Jasim to allow her back into his house. Abu Jasim tells Mariam that Turki wants to marry her.

Mariam is angry with Turki for telling her father that he wants to marry her. Latifa asks Ali for divorce and tells him that she doesn't love him anymore. Laila suggests to Abu Jasim to get her brother to marry Mariam, and he tells her that he cannot pressure Mariam to do it.

Eissa agrees to work with Laila's brother and she tells her sister that she will hold Saoud responsible for Eissa's stolen money. Laila's pregnancy does not go well. Mariam has an argument with Turki when he asks her father for her hand in marriage. Ali returns home to Latifa.

Laila tells Badriya that she will get back at her and her mother for treating her badly back when she used to work for them at the farm. Eissa goes to Naema to apologize to her and asks her to come back home. Jassim is released from prison after Ahmad drops the charges against him.

Conflicts between Naema and Laila start again, and Badriya promises Aisha that she will support her in order to get her married to her brother, Jasim. A confrontation with Ibrahim causes Jasim to have an emotional and nervous breakdown and he gets hospitalized.

While Jasim is recovering at the hospital, Latifa and her mother go to Naema's house to apologize to her, but she refuses to accept their apology. She tries to convince her son to marry Aisha, and blames Samir for telling the secret to Eissa. She asks Saoud to divorce Badriya.

Naema is trying to find a bride for her son, Jasim, which angers Aisha. Aisha then threatens Mariam that she will expose her secrets to her parents. Eissa asks Samir to tell him about Naema's plans. Laila contemplates getting her brother to marry Aisha.

Aisha agrees to marry Kazim, Laila's brother. Laila continues controlling Eissa, and attempts to kick Samir out of the house so that he doesn't give information about her to Naema. Jasim finds out about the relationship between Mariam and Turki. Latifa gets married.

Aisha and Qasim get married, after she gives up on Jasim. Latifa is concerned that her mother's new husband is after her money. Jasim gets suspicious that Laila and her brother Qasim are responsible for stealing his father's money. Laila asks Eissa to convince Jasim to marry her sister, Huda.

Jasim suspects that Qasim and Saoud are stealing his father's money. Latifa's mother lends her husband a large sum of money. Ali refuses to marry Laila's sister. Laila tries to convince Qasim to stay away from Saoud and to get his wife pregnant soon.

Abu Jasim discovers that Qasim has been stealing from him. Qasim forces Aisha to give him the dowry that he gave her father. When he gives the stolen money to Laila, Aisha complains to Mariam and tells Abu Jasim, and he insists that Mariam and Turki get married.

Laila tells Eissa that his son, Jasim disturbs Saoud and Qasim. Jasim tries to clarify that the account books don't add up. Saoud turns Badriya against Jasim, and Mariam asks Saoud to postpone the wedding so that she can support her mother at this time.

Latifa's daughter asks for her share of the house, after marrying Soliman. Laila blackmails Saoud after she finds out that he took half of Aisha's dowry from Qassim. Mariam overhears Laila and they get into a heated argument.

Abu Jasim insists on Turki and Mariam's marriage. Mariam tries to annoy Laila when she fails to conceive again after her miscarriage. Laila tricks Abu Jasim by telling him that she's pregnant. Aisha promises to help Naema against Laila.

Laila asks Abu Jasim to write the house under her name, who refuses. Soliman gets Latifa's mother to kick her daughter and husband out of the house, and has complete control over her assets. Laila asks Saoud to steal the merchandise and money without Eissa and Turki's knowledge.

Saoud ignores Jasim's threats. Ali's mother treats her daughter-in-law, Latifa, harshly. Laila manages to convince Abu Jasim to write the house in her name.

Soliman's father kicks Latifa's mother out of her house after taking over all her assets and possessions. Aisha takes Qasim's money and gives it to her mother and siblings. Qasim blackmails Turki. Naema welcomes Latifa's mother after her daughter's mother-in-law harsh treatment of her.

Eissa discovers that Qasim and Laila have been stealing from him. Turki goes back to his wife, Badriya, and apologizes for all that has happened.
