Follows the life of Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson born and raised in Los Angeles, as he faces conflict between his loyalty to the streets and his colleagues in the force, especially after being assigned to lead the S.W.A.T. unit, which is the last stop to combat crime in LA.


Daniel Hondo leads a Los Angeles law enforcement agency, where he and his team are tasked with bringing down some of the state's most dangerous criminals, including a dangerous human trafficking gang.


Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson and his SWAT team continue to fight crime as it spreads more in L.A.'s underworld, as they stand up to theft, terrorism and possible bombings.


Sergeant Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson is conflicted between his cultural identity, and his duty as a police officer, as he’s promoted to team leader to placate the black community, while he and his team continue to put their lives on the line to keep L.A. safe.


In the wake of his decision to speak out to the press, Hondo retreats to a quiet town in Mexico to reevaluate his life and career and teams up with a local cop to mount a dangerous rescue mission. On the other hand, Hicks contemplates disbanding the team for good.


In season 6, the team faces new threats, including Hondo and the squad racing to rescue a cop on the verge of stopping a major drug operation after he is kidnapped, and Luca is worried about Hicks' sudden changes in behavior.


In season 7, the team goes to Mexico to take a fugitive back to the United States, but things go wrong when Hondo has to save an old witness connected to the case. Hondo and Hicks search for Powell, who has disappeared in Mexico City and has a thermal bomb capable of killing thousands.


The team is still fighting crime in Los Angeles as they try to locate a group of missing students and their bus driver. A bomb goes off inside a prison, causing the release of maximum security inmates, and Hondo and Nichelle have an argument about the proper daycare for their daughter.
