When Abdullah searches for a guy called Nour El Din, everyone at the market tells him that the latter is a charlatan, but a vegetable vendor leads him to him. As Malek studies plastic arts away from his family, his mother grows angry with him for leaving her and her daughter alone.

As Malek quarrels with his classmate, El Mongy tries to get him kicked out, but the dean refuses since Malek's offence does not warrent being kicked out. When Fatouma goes to Tunisia, she meets Malek, gives him the photos, and meets his friends, only for Malek's girlfriend to make fun of Fatouma.

El Mongy meets with the shareholders of the Institute of Fine Arts. Fatouma keeps silent about her feelings for Malek and her sadness that he is going to marry another. When Malek's paintings get stolen from the institute's studio, the students ask the director to find a solution.

Malek's friends decide to hold a protest in the institute as they accuse El Mongy's son of stealing Malek's paintings. Lamayn tells his friend, Abdullah, that Nour El Din has returned to the neighborhood.

Malek falls victim to prosecution at the institute as he gets kicked out and accused of beating El Mongy's son. When Malek breaks down, the neighbors take him to the hospital. When Abu Bakr gets fired, he threatens El Mongy's son that he will reveal that he is the one who stole Malek's paintings.

Nour El Din's house gets robbed. When Malek is released from the hospital, he learns that he failed his exams. Abu Bakr goes to the institute and confesses to what happened, causing chaos to break out. Malek goes to his hometown in critical condition.

Fatma visits Malek at his house. Nour El Din asks the gang's leader to smuggle him to France. As everyone grows to believe that the institute's secretary is in love with Malek, the truth is that she sympathizes with his plight.

When Malek decides to live in Kairouan, he asks his aunt for a room to stay. Fatma goes back to her father's house. Arabiya quarrels with her family. When Fatma confesses her love for Malek, he tells her that he is weak and does not deserve her. When Fayza passes out on the street, Abdullah saves her.

When Abdullah tells the Sheikh that he wants to marry Fayza, Malek tells Abdullah that Fatma and Malika disapprove. When Fatma decides to stay at her father's house, Fayza is saddened that Fatma is leaving her. Malek's girlfriend visits him in Kairouan and convinces him to go back to the city and his art.

Fayza weds Abdullah. Nour El Din meets his friend at home to get the precious stones that he is smuggling. As he gives Fatma some money to cover her expenses, he entrusts her with a precious stone before going to Paris. Malek opens a gallery and meets his old friends.

Nour El Din learns that Ali is a still alive and decides to hide until he could go to France. When Fatma learns that Abdullah has a black stone, she searches his things until she finds his ID, only to discover that he has two different names. She confides her findings in Malika.

The police look for Nour El Din. Malek marries Azza. When Abdullah goes to Nour El Din's hiding place, he tells him that his real name is Salem El Madah and that he seized the black stone, prompting Nour El Din to beat him.

Abdullah tells Fayza everything about his relationship with Nour El Din. As Malek starts taking on decor projects and bringing them home, Azza helps him with his work, but their personal relationship grows distant. When Fayza falls pregnant with Abdullah's baby, Fatma gets angry.

Abdullah asks Fayza to move with him to his house in the desert, but she refuses. Fatma meets Malek and tells him about the stone, revealing that she sold some of it to provide for her family and advised her father to turn himself in. Fayza and Malika stay with Abdullah in the desert.

As Malek starts a new painting, his friend and Fatma help him. When Malek beats Azza after a quarrel, he goes to prison. Fayza and Malika are happy with their life with Abdullah in the desert. Nour El Din meets Fatma in secret to get money as the police continue to look for him.

As the gang kidnaps Fatma and locks her up in Ali's house, Ali tries to get her to reveal the location of the stone. Nour El Din quarrels with Arik and beats him as he looks for the stone. Fatma mourns when she learns about her father's death. Malek gets out of prison.

As Ali decides to run away, Fatma refuses to leave him and tells him about Salem El Madah and the map she found with him, leading the two of them to head to the desert. As Malek goes looking for Abdullah, Fatma finds him. Fayza gives birth as Abdullah finds the treasure. Fatma becomes rich and buys a hotel.
