Fatema, a married woman with three children, is responsible for everything in the house. She also makes and sells sweets. As her parents-in-law came to visit her, Fatema and the children get concerned a little because they interfere in their private affairs.

The mother buys a quantity of cheese, unaware that it is spoiled. After she gives her kids and her husband the cheese to sell on the street, the grandfather reads in the papers that some people were poisoned after eating cheese, which shocks the mother and makes her husband fearful.

As a guy presents Fatema with gym equipment, she wants to sell it. Her neighbor comes to visit her while she's out, and when the former meets Ahmed, Fatema's husband, Fatema grows jealous over him and asks her not to come again. Fatema's mother-in-law trains in sports and becomes agile.

Aisha and Jamal hope to have mobile phones, so Jamal decides to call Aisha, who's in the kitchen, through the landline phone so that he feels as if he has a mobile phone. When he asks his mother to buy him one, she refuses.

Hayat comes to Fatema's house to bake bread, and as she kneads it, her nice ring falls into the dough without her realizing it, but she then finds it after it has been swallowed by Aisha, and the grandfather discovers the matter.

As the two dancers Nisreen and Hanan go to the video shop, they meet El Hajj and Jabour, and the Hajj agrees with them to go to Fatema's house, perhaps to agree to dance at a party, and they leave after staying for a while.

As Hayat puts charms in Fatema's house, Aisha learns and asks her to do the same for her, or else she'll complain to Latifa, but Fatema finds out about it and gets angry with her. Ahmed sells bootlegged films with his friend, and the grandfather finds out and tries to get the shop owner arrested.

Jamal teaches his mother to read, and she tries to study independently. With Aouina's help, the Hajj turns the video shop into a private investigation office, and customers visit it.

As a man visits Fatema's family, she offers him tea and sweets so that he agrees to lend her money, and her husband tries as well and signs a trust receipt, but the grandfather discovers that the man was attempting to deceive them.

As Jamal, Fatema's son, likes a girl, he asks Aisha to help him style his hair in a nice way because he is going on a date with the girl, but his grandmother cuts his hair in a way that Fatema does not like.

As the barber searches for a videotape but does not find it, he goes to the video shop and discovers that Jamal and his brother took it and lost it. Karim introduces his girlfriend to Fatema, who does not like her and tries with her mother-in-law to sabotage their relationship.

Fatema goes to finish an affair in another governorate, and the Hajj takes over the management of the house and treats everyone strictly. When her young son falls ill, the rest of the family leaves the house until Fatema comes back, then they ask her not to travel again.

Nabiha goes to Fatema's house after having a quarrel with her husband because she wants independence and freedom, while Fatema and Ahmed try to convince her to return to him. Jamal writes a romantic letter to Aisha, and his mother quarrels with him and convinces Kamal to take his wife home.

As Ahmed and his wife train for the couples' competition in order to appear on a TV show, the Hajj and the Hajja join them, and the children help them solve the questions, whereupon Fatema wins the competition.

The Hajj contacts one of his police friends, who suggests that he work as a private inspector. The Hajj agrees and makes the video store his office, but his son is not pleased.

A Chinese young man comes to Fatema's house and thinks it is a hotel. As Aisha admires him, she steals his passport and ticket so that he does not travel, whereupon the Hajj searches for the guy's belongings.

As the Hajj changes his clothing style and styles his hair like a young man, his wife doubts him and enlists the help of her young friend to change her appearance too, but the Hajj does not like it and tells her that he did it for a new job.

Fatema and the girls prepare for the wedding of some girl, and the Hajja wants to join them. As the groom's family prefers the Hajja to Fatema, the latter gets angry, after which many women ask for Hajja Zubeida to organize their weddings.

As a friend of Fatema's son comes from Holland, the family receives her, and Fatema gives her a Moroccan caftan. A government official comes to the house, and the Hajja tells him that there is no one at home, so he goes to Aziza's.

The Hajj brings the sports equipment that he used as a young man and shows it to his grandson, who likes the boxing gloves, decides to train with them, and enters a competition, encouraged by his grandfather.

As her son is weak in French, Fatema contacts a teacher to give him private lessons at home, but the Hajj discovers that the teacher is in fact a man who impersonates a woman so that he can find work.

As the Hajj finds that the phone bill is very high and decides to find out the reason, he goes to the telecom company and asks for a detailed bill with numbers, after which everyone discovers that Fatema is the one who used the phone for long hours.

As Ahmed meets an old friend, he agrees to work with him and change his appearance and the way he treats his family. The Hajj is dissatisfied with him because he works against his principles, so Ahmed decides to tell the truth to the workers, upon which Fatema and the Hajj rejoice.

Ahmed asks his son, who lives abroad, for money to buy a plot of land at a low price from his friend, but the Hajj discovers that his son has bought the land near the chemical and waste factory, so Fatema gets angry with him.

The Hajj falls on his head and comes to the house, and his wife learns that he lost his memory. As their neighbor Latifa comes to visit them, the Hajj takes a shine to her, which makes the Hajja jealous, and she decides to tell Latifa that he suffers from amnesia so that she stays away from him.

As a man calls the Hajj and tells him everything about his family, he suspects that one of the thieves, whom he got imprisoned, plots to take revenge on him, but it turns out that the man is an old friend who used to work with him, and the man tells the grandchildren that the Hajj was a coward.

A housekeeper named Rabia, who works at Fatema's house, tries to make friends with the family. She also tries to make Ahmed like her and causes many problems, and when Fatema finds out what she's doing, she no longer believes what she says.

Both the Hajj and Ahmed run for elections and try to do so at home with Fatema, the Hajja, and the children, but their neighbor Amina wins. Meanwhile, Fatema is surprised at how the people of the neighborhood voted for a woman.

When Aisha puts on a face mask, Fatema and the Hajj make fun of her. Fatema tells everyone that she has become a painter and invites the director of the association to see her paintings, but she tells her that she is only good at cooking.

The Hajj and the Hajja travel to Tangiers, and the whole family misses them. As they recall all the situations that happened with them, Fatema decides to call them and invite them to come back, upon which everyone rejoices at their return.
