Nagwa takes her children to visit her mother-in-law on the first day of Ramadan. The youngest son Anis comes with his pregnant wife. Shabaan tells his daughter to mind her studies and forget about the kitchen.

As Selim grows annoyed with the noise the children are making, Nagwa takes her children and leaves the house. Areej and Nagwa clean out the store which annoys Shabaan who is trying to take a nap. The aunt refuses to leave her room and threatens to go if they change her room.

Nawfal comes to see Areej who is concerned that her father will see her. When Senda comes to ask for food, Nagwa closes the door and refuses to give her any. Nawfal is introduced to the family, much to Shabaan's annoyance.

Gamila runs into Nawfal on her way to the market and invites him to dinner. The family receive him gladly and give him so much food that he is unable to eat anymore.

When Areej takes care of both the aunt and her father, her mother is thrilled to see her daughter as a doctor. As the entire family falls ill, including Lamees who is having a hard time with her pregnancy, Areej takes care of them all.

When Lamees comes back from the theater tired, Zulekha accuses her husband of spoiling her as his mother tries to calm them down. Nagwa is angry that Lamees was stiff and unresponsive when she tried to help her. Zulekha tries to incite Nagwa against the family.

Anis has a show that the entire family attends along with Nawfal. Zulekha is her usual weird self and Anis introduces her to the audience.

As the family visits Anis' house, Zulekha is surprised by the house's decor but Gamila tells them that they have an artistic taste. Senda gets them ready-made food for dinner but it's tasteless and they refuse to eat it.

Zulekha wakes up everyone in the morning by screaming. The family welcomes Samia back. Zulekha learns that the family is meeting Samia at the airport despite Gamila's attempt to keep it a secret. Samia brings presents for everyone, but Zulekha gets mad that they took her room.

Zulekha accuses Shabaan of beating Nagwa's children. Shabaan is furious and leaves the house. As the children look for their father, Nagway finds him hiding under a tree. Zulekha tries to leave the house but Gamila forces her to come back.

Shabaan recites his memories about staying up late at coffee shops where artists used to sing and dance. He decides to take his wife and children to show them where he used to spend his time.

Monir gives Nagwa money to get new clothes for Eia. Aida asks Selim for money but he insists on going shopping with her instead of giving her money. As Zulekha and Gamila go shopping, Gamila loses her purse. She can not find Zulekha and returns home alone. Zulekha uses all the money to buy high heels.

As the family prepares for Eid, Nagwa takes a baking tray to the oven and Gamila goes after her. Gamila asks Anis to get the tray but he feels embarrassed and goes in disguise to retrieve it.

The family prepares for a celebration of the circumcision of Samia's son. The band starts off the celebration but Anis brings a second band. Shehab can't come after he misses his plane. The boys run away when they grow afraid of being circumcised.

Monir helps Nagwa prepare for Areej's engagement. When Shabaan and Gamila return from the market, Zulekha admonishes Gamila for not getting plastic cups. Nawfal brings his family over to ask for Areej's hand. They celebrate their engagement.
