In order to integrate Major League Baseball, the general manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers sends scouts to look for talented Black players. While a rivalry flares up between great baseball players Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson over who gets to be the first African-American player in the history of MLB, it's the newcomer Jackie Robinson who gets selected.
