Jamal dreams of having a daughter, and when his wife gives birth to his first son, he is disappointed. When she gets pregnant again, his hopes are renewed for a daughter.

Jamal is hoping for a daughter, but his wife gives birth to another boy. Sabika, his wife, continues to feel guilty about this, and his family interfere to convince him to accept his fate.

Jamal awaits the birth of his third child, in the hopes of having a daughter, and his wife's life is put in danger during delivery. She gives birth to a third son. Khalifa's wife gives birth to a daughter, but her mistreatment of her husband and his mother results in a tragedy.

Grief surrounds Khalifa after a death in his family, and his wife tells him that she wants to leave him. Jamal gets angry when one of his sons interrupt his space and accuses Sakina of not getting pregnant on purpose.

Khalifa gets custody of his daughter when his ex-wife remarries. Jamal is still thinking about his dream of having a daughter, which makes Sabika feel worse. She suspects that he has secrets in his past.

Jamal now has four sons, but he still dreams of having a girl. The sons feel unwanted, and the name "Moodi" is said repeatedly. Sabika screams in pain and is rushed to the hospital where she receives a shock. Jamal's son, Ahmed, gets married and his wife gives birth.

Ahmed visits his father, Jamal, after his wife gives birth and the visit ends unpleasantly. Sabika decides to stand up to her husband. Jasser asks his father to support him financially so he can get married. During Jasser's wedding an unknown woman shows up.

Manal, Ahmed's wife, is rushed to the hospital during Jasser's wedding, to give birth to her second child. Sabika convinces Jamal to visit his son and congratulate him and his wife on the new baby. Jasser and his wife return from their honeymoon and she expresses her dislike for his family.

Muhammad has feelings for Nora and tells his mother that he wants to marry her, but he is disappointed when he learns that she is engaged and preparing for her wedding. Jasser's wife is pregnant again. A mysterious phone call is received.

Jassem lies to his father about the results of the pregnancy ultrasound. Ahmed's wife is pregnant again with her third child. Nora returns to her father after being beaten up by her husband. Muhammad decides to go to Nora's husband with his friend Khalifa and beat him for what he's done to Nora.

Sahar, Jasser's wife, wants a bigger share of the house that should be distributed evenly between the brothers. Muhammad is still in love with Nora, and his hope is renewed when she leaves her husband. He decides to confess his love to her.

Muhammad goes to Khalifa and asks him for Nora's hand in marriage and he agrees. Nora's mother refuses to congratulate her or to let her siblings help her with the preparations. Nora goes with Sabika and Manal to buy the wedding dress, and makes a phone call to an unknown person.

Nora receives a phone call from an anonymous woman asking her to call off the wedding. Ahmad's wife goes into labor during the wedding, and Jamal awaits the birth. Abdulrahman is married and his wife is pregnant.

Sahar, Jassim's wife is pregnant, and Jamal wants to know the gender of the baby. Abdulrahman's wife decides not to know the gender of the baby until birth. Nora is not pregnant after a year and a half of marriage and starts to feel pitied. She goes to the fertility doctor with Muhammad.

Sahar takes advantage of her pregnancy in front of Jamal. She treats Sabika badly, and Jamal takes her side, causing Sabika to leave the house for the first time. Khalifa tells him that he has wronged Sabika and he goes to apologize to her.

Tragedy strikes and Sabika does not return home, breaking everyone's hearts. Jamal is unable to contain his grief. Abdulrahman tells his wife about his secret. Heba, Abdulrahman's wife, gives birth, and he is scared to face his father.

Everyone is devastated over the loss of Sabika. Jamal is upset because Nora is not pregnant, and she decides to go for the IVF procedure. Khalifa goes to Jamal and puts a limit to his mistreatment of him and his daughter. Ahmad tries to save his marriage and stay away from his old love, Fajr.

Nora goes through the procedure and goes home to her father's house. Sahar tries to cause a problem between Heba, Manal and Nora. Manal supports Nora when she learns about her procedure. Nora's mother does not support her. Jamal goes to Nora's doctor to find out the chances of her having a girl.

Jassim and Muhammad go to congratulate Abdulrahman over his new business partnership with Khalifa. Jamal is angry when he discovers the type of business Khalifa and Abdulrahman run. Nora miscarries, and Muhammad supports her in her sadness. Jassim brings to Jamal the news of Moodi's birth.

Jamal's dream finally comes true with the birth of Moodi. Jamal's house phone rings and Abdulrahman hesitates to answer. Jamal is unable to decide between the names Sabika and Moodi. Khalifa advises Jamal to choose the name Sabika.

Jamal's happiness with Moodi makes him forget everything. Sahar takes this to her advantage. Abdulrahman asks Ahmad for his help in setting up a new business. The anonymous woman goes to Jassim and warns him that he needs to change his daughter's name. Jamal overhears Abdulrahman talking to a woman.

Sahar comes home, and Jamal is over the moon. She takes advantage of this. Jamal is almost losing his mind because he's scared something would happen to Moodi. Muhammad remembers his mother.

Nora's mother wants to go back to Khalifa and Nora attempts to persuade him, but he refuses. Jamal is crazy in love with Moodi. He places surveillance cameras in her room to watch how the nanny treats her. Muhammad tells Jassim not to return home today, but Sahar insists on entering the house.

Jamal hits Sahar, and Jassim and the rest don't know the reason. They find out that the nanny hitting Moodi was the reason for this. Sahar feels guilty when she sees the video. Moodi grows up throughout the years. Manal is sad for her sick son. Nora's mother wants to get back together with Khalifa.

Jamal's excess concern over Moodi affects everyone. Nora needs her mother's support but does not find it. After many years, Nora finally becomes pregnant.

The owner whose place Ahmad rents makes him pay large sums of money. Ahmad goes to Muhammad to ask for help, and he tells him to stay in his apartment with his wife. No one knows about Nora's pregnancy.

Jassim divorces Sahar when he discovers her betrayal. Jamal tells Jasim that he has to get Sahar back and to get Moodi back home, without knowing the reason for the separation. Fajr tries to get close to Ahmad and offers her help and he accepts.

Jamal is unable to handle being away from Moodi and his health suffers. Manal finds out about Fajr and feels betrayed by Ahmad. Sahar wants to get back together with Jasim.

Nora loses her child and feels that she needs Sabika. Jamal's condition worsens and he asks to see Moodi. Khalifa informs Moodi, and Moodi confronts Jamal about what happened throughout the years and his refusal for her to marry Khalifa who has loved her all his life.

Moodi confronts Jamal over how she has suffered because of him, by marrying someone she did not choose. She informs him that it is time for her to marry Khalifa, and that he was so busy collecting his gold that he didn't see that he already had the biggest piece of gold: Sabika.
