Youssef is shaken to the core after he loses his wife and daughter in an accident. Being overcome with grief, he is advised to pay a visit to his hometown and spend some time with his family.

In the town, El-Ghalia helps Youssef refurbish his old house. Meanwhile, a man proposes to her, but she rejects him. Youssef acknowledges that a lot has changed since the last time he was there.

Soliman is trying to force El-Ghalia into marrying him, so he buys her family's house and threatens to kick them out, and he is trying to buy Youssef's house. Zahra is secretly meeting her boss at work, and someone has a videotape of them.

Zahra's relationship with her boss is revealed, which causes her grave consequences. Meanwhile, El-Ghalia returns home.

Soliman asks Essam to be his right hand and help him with his illegal transactions. Youssef refuses to leave his house, even though it is dilapidated. Soliman rejects El-Ghalia's offer to pay their rent.

Essam gradually turns into a drug dealer. Due to some problmes with sanitation, Yousef eventually leaves his house. El-Ghalia starts a sewing project to increase her income.

Youssef suspects it was Soliman who set fire to his house, but he starts repairing it nonetheless. Zahra's career is flourishing, whereas El-Ghalia is trying to get her mother to help her with the project.

After a rough earthquake, almost all houses fall apart, and people decide to repair and revive all buildings. A journalist visits Darb El-Hamam after the incident to report the news, but her camera is stolen.

Youssef, the journalist, and El-Ghalia team up against Soliman who is eventually arrested.

Salwa's presence is undesirable to the people. Soliman is released, and upon his release he threatened to take revenge. Salwa is stabbed.

Youssef is disheartened by the people's lack of guts. El-Ghalia is desired by almost every man, but she is blinded by the love she has for Youssef.

El-Ghalia's project is flourishing and it is coming to the attention of almost everyone. Soliman is still persistent in proposing to her.

Youssef informs El-Ghalia that he has no intention to remarry. Essam proposes to Zahra, and Nabil's wife wants him to divorce her so that she is reunited with her lover.

Soliman is running for elections, and he is trying to get Youssef's support. El-Ghalia is trying to find a better place for her workshop. Essam is still getting himself into trouble.

A fierce competition arises between Youssef and Soliman as they're trying to get people's votes. Zahra and Essam meet, and they reminisce over their shared childhood.

Soliman wins the elections, and El-Ghalia goes to congratulate him. Essam's girlfriend passes away.

El-Ghalia agrees to marry Soliman, which saddens Youssef. Essam is arrested, but is released when Sofia testifies for him.

Sofia is trying to secure a job for Essam at her father's restaurant, meanwhile, El-Ghalia is apparently satisfied with her decision to marry Soliman.

On their wedding day, Soliman is found dead, and the police are trying to find the murderer.

Zahra works at El-Ghalia's shop. Nabil is released and he rents Youssef's house to be the base for an organization concerned with the matters of the people of Darb El-Hamam.

Mostafa returns, but he is involved in so many terrorist acts. Essam commences the activities of the organization. Sofia's father refuses to wed her to Essam.

Zahra informs El-Ghalia that she is pregnant, but the baby's father denies him.

Nabil is trying to find his brother, but his search is futile. Youssef marries Zahra upon El-Ghalia's request to save her and the baby.

Sofia's father hires men to kidnap Essam in order to dissuade him from marrying Sofia. Youssef informs Zahra's parents of her pregnancy, and they congratulate them.

Sofia's father disappears, and Essam embarks on a journey to find him. Salwa is surprised to learn about Youssef's marriage.

Zahra has an abortion and she asks Youssef to divorce her and marry Salwa, but Youssef tells her that Salwa is just a friend. Essam moves to Sofia's house after he reconciles with her family.

El-Ghalia marries Abd El-Samad, whereas Youssef and Salwa both join Essam's organization.

Zahra and Youssef get back together. El-Ghalia tells her husband all about the money she has been keeping in the locker. The organization starts a cultural activity.

Youssef and Zahra now get on well, Abd El-Samad frustrates an attempt to rob El-Ghalia's money. The terrorist group is arrested, and Mostafa returns home, but Nabil refuses to take him in.

Essam is arrested for drug-dealing, and Sofia is doing her best to get him out. It is now known that Mostafa wasn't a terrorist; he was cooperating with the police to catch the terrorist group.
