The events of the play revolve around a doctor of Upper Egypt who decides to get married after obtaining his doctorate, but he clashes with the ancient traditions of Upper Egypt, especially regarding the wedding night. He tries hard to dissuade them from these outdated ideas. Will he succeed in that or not?
