Hassan betroths his colleague, Najwa, but he is subjected to harassment from his mother-in-law, Adila. Hassan’s mother is injured in an accident and loses her sight, so Adila objects to Najwa serving her mother-in-law and refuses to let her go through with the marriage, which makes Najwa torn between acceptance and refusal.
