Fou'ad's decision to travel to Dubai for his birthday both shocks and saddens his friend Karim, while Karim's sister gets her mother's money to buy him a gift and the mother herself gifts him with jewelry.

Fou'ad travels abroad, and hopeless about marrying Karim who is unemployed and penniless, his girlfriend gets engaged to Aziz instead. The Hajja suggests that Karim work for Lala Mama and he accepts to travel to Tangier.

Karim and his mother go to Lala Mama's house to give her the clothes she made for her and offer their condolences. Karim meets Nesrine and grows infatuated with her.

When Karim shows signs of rebellion, his mother slaps him to bring him back to his senses. Fou'ad returns from Dubai loaded with gifts for his friends. Karim gets jealous when he sees So'aad with Fou'ad.

Karim goes to Tangier where he meets Farid who offers him a job. Meanwhile, Fou'ad returns to Dubai and encourages So'aad to forget about Karim and focus primarily on her future. Lala Mama visits Kolthoum to check up on her son.

Lala Mama threatens Kolthoum against divulging Al-Batoul's secrets, and she goes to the company where Karim works to talk to him. Karim, meanwhile, tries to get closer to her daughter Nesrine as he starts going out with her.

Karim tries to perform well and ace at work, and he earns the admiration of Farid and Hanaa. Lala Mama still worries that her children might know about Al-Batoul.

Farid invites Karim over, and he tells Lala Mama how he contributed to saving the company from going bankrupt. So'aad, meanwhile, still hopes to be reunited with Karim. Scavandry informs Kolthoum that he knows where Karim is.

Karim tries to convince Farid with the project he proposed and Farid promises to consider. The secretary helps Karim buy new clothes. Karim's sister begs Amin to marry her since she's already pregnant with his baby.

The company allocates Karim a car, and his mother calls to inform him of his sister's adversity and urge him to help her. So'aad meets Fou'ad who renews his request that she forgets about Karim.

Kolthoum is devastated by the news of So'aad and Fou'ad's wedding, and So'aad blames Karim for giving up on her. Faty is shocked to learn that her husband is cheating on her.

Nesrine starts working at the company as she quarrels with Hayat and asks her father to kick the latter out. Lala Mama asks Karim to forget all about Al-Batoul.

Karim gets closer to Hanaa and buys her flowers. Fou'ad quarrels with So'aad upon finding a photograph of Karim on her phone. Lala Mama learns that someone is already acquainted with Al-Batoul's story.

Kolthoum goes to Tangier to look for her son. Faty chooses a life of going out and getting drunk to forget about her misery, which enrages Farid and Lala Mama. Faty, meanwhile, insists on a divorce.

Farid decides to run for the elections. Karim tells Hanaa he loves her. Lala Mama wants to wed Nesrine. Scavandry meets Karim and berates him for leaving his mother and sister.

Farid conducts his electoral campaign with the help of his daughter Hanaa, and his family, as well as Karim, attend to hear his speech. Scavandry stays at Karim's apartment.

Karim asks Gheitha to head Farid's electoral campaign under his supervision and instructions, which Lala Mama disapproves of. When Karim returns home, he finds Scavandry and gives him the money.

Farid quarrels with his mother and leaves the house, which saddens Hanaa. Karim gets closer to Lala Mama and provides her with information about Ghietha. As for Gheitha, she tells Karim she has feelings for him.

Karim proposes to Hanaa and Lala Mama approves. Kolthoum is devastated that her son Karim denies he has a mother as he tells his bride's family that he is an orphan. Karim's sister gives birth. Farid gets closer to Gheitha whom he ostensibly lives with.

Karim asks Lala Mama to let Farid and Gheitha live at her place and she approves. He also asks her to return Faty home. Kolthoum is busy making the wedding garments for her son and his bride. So'aad's mother falls ill and Fou'ad tries to check up on her.

So'aad's mother passes away on her way back from Dubai and Karim goes to offer his condolences as he meets his mother, So'aad, and Fou'ad at the funeral. Nesrine tells Faty she loves Karim.

Kairm's mother refuses to accept his money. So'aad refuses to return with Fou'ad to Dubai. When Nesrine sees Karim with Ghietha, she grows madly jealous and commits suicide.

Nesrine is rushed into the hospital and Karim tries to keep the news of her suicide attempt away from the press. Karim tells Ghietha that it is true he loves Hanaa, but he also has strong feelings for her. Faty sees Karim at the restaurant with Gheitha.

Fou'ad refuses to divorce So'aad and asks her to return to Emirates with him. Hanaa quarrels with her father, and Karim encourages her to apologize to him. At Karim's suggestion, Gheitha leaves Farid and leaves the whole country.

Faty shows everyone Karim's picture while he is kissing Gheitha, but he claims she's the one trying to lure him. While Lala Mama believes him, Hanaa gets extremely mad. Karim brings Nesrine flowers upon her discharge from the hospital.

Lala Mama meets Kolthoum and tells her she knows Karim is her son. Fou'ad gets mad at So'aad for keeping the news of her pregnancy from him. In a mysterious phone call, Farid is informed that Al-Batoul is his mother, and Lala Mama killed her.

Farid gets drunk and tells Karim everything about Al-Batoul, while Karim tries to calm him down and take him home. Scavandry tells Amina and So'aad that Karim is enjoying his life and not sparing a thought for them. Scavandry meets Fou'ad.

Lala Mama tells Kolthoum that Karim told Farid about Al-Batoul. Hanaa learns the truth about Karim. Farid meets Gheitha and urges her to forget about everything they shared. Karim quarrels with Scavandry and Fou'ad. So'aad has an abortion.

Ghietha refuses to return to Fou'ad and tells him she loves Karim. Karim has an accident and his mother rushes to the hospital to see him. Farid is arrested, and the police investigate Karim's connections to learn whether the accident was plotted to have him murdered.

Karim wakes up form the coma, and the first thing he utters is So'aad's name, which saddens Hanaa who decides to break up with him. Karim returns to his mother's house and marries So'aad, but he is in for a surprise when he learns that Hanaa has a son with him.
