Hajj Idris is married to four women, and the youngest wife gives him a child. His first wife begins to feel that she has grown old. Idris goes to sleep in his first wife's room which makes the second wife jealous.

Idris asks the Sultan to appoint him as the district sheriff and the Sultan promises that he will look into the matter. Idris quarrels with his son Abdullah because he doesn't respect anyone at home. Idris promises his young son that he will buy him a new oud, instead of the one Abdullah broke.

The fighters meet with their commander, who is from Meknes, to discuss their fighting in the name of God. The commander summons Idris to take all the herbs he brought from India because the Sultan wants it. The Sultan appoints Idris as the district sheriff.

Idris fixes the oud for his son and brings it home. Yaqot spends the night with Idris and his wife almost finds out. Idris goes to the market where he admires a girl. He asks his son to hand over the store accounts.

The Hajja tries to know the cause of Yaqot's ​​grief and she tells her that someone assaulted her. The women try to know who did it but she doesn't tell them. The Hajja doubts Yaqot's claims and she tells her to bear the result of her treachery. The Hajja grows worried about her son.

Idris's servant enlists the help of criminals to bring a maid that he will take to Hajj Idris. But when he runs away with her, the gang chases him.

Abdel Rahman's relationship grows stronger with the maid to the point where he proposes to her. Batool tells Yaqot about her grief over her son and Idris's treatment of her, as Abdullah prepares for war with the prince's soldiers.

Abdullah asks his mother to marry Nafisa, but she refuses and kicks them out. The Hajj returns from travel and the Hajja asks about her son Soliman. The Hajj tells them that he brought a new maid which angers Batool. The French maid meets the butler who rejoices at her presence.

Batool is mad that her son and Idris admire the new maid. The Hajja's son returns from the war and he is sad about the martyrs and decides to help their families. The maid tells her life story to the butler who asks her to watch out for Idris.

The commander orders Soliman to wed because it is one of the conditions of his new position. Idris's young son becomes close friends with the new maid and she teaches him to read French. The Hajja's son gets married and lives with her. Yaqot tries to provoke the French maid.

Mr. Abdel Rahman proposes to Idris's daughter who refuses at first because he's much older. Idris tries to help his son with his rival at the store.

Idris's daughter prepares for marriage and her mother offers her jewelry. Idris is troubled when a guy called Al-Telmsany looks to trade in Fez. Idris's servant intercepts him and stays with him on the road with bandits. Yaqot falls pregnant.

The king decides to give the Jews of Morocco some lands so that they can build their own homes as he encourages them to coexist peacefully with the Muslims. Idris secretly marries the French maid. The cook prepares a recipe to cause Yaqot to have a miscarriage.

The French maid asks Yaqot to be her friend. Yaqot is unable to do the housework due to her pregnancy, and Bahia advises her to tell Batool about everything that happened with her.

Soliman refuses to help his sister's husband with his work. Idris quarrels with his son and kicks him out of the house. He tells his wives that Bahia is his wife and will stay with them at the house as a lady and not as a servant.

The Sultan sends a message to Commander Soliman to warn him to return to his senses or he will be dismissed. A stranger comes to Idris's house to take Bahia away but Idris refuses to hand her over.

When Batool pleads with Yaqot to tell her the identity of the father of her son, she tells her that it's Idris. As Soliman raids Abdel Rahman's house with the army, he apprehends him and frees his sister, who was locked in a room.

Batool escapes with her son, as Bahia escapes with Milad as she agreed with Mahdy so that he could take her to France. Idris finds out that his shops burned down and he accuses his Jewish neighbor of doing it. Idris becomes bedridden and Mahdy tries to poison him.

The Jewish neighbor comes to visit Idris, but he could not see him because of his illness. The Hajja goes to the market to sell her gold for her husband. Meanwhile, Mahdy tries to kill Idris. The enemy tribe marches from Fez and the commander tries to halt their advance.

Idris's son saves his father and Mahdy is arrested. Soliman's army stops the enemy tribe. Idris recovers and tells the judge that his Jewish friend is innocent. He returns to the market thanks to the money Hajja and his son gave him.
