As Saloma and his wife, Halola, go back home, they are shocked to find Halola's mother in their house. Saloma gets angry when his mother-in-law decides to stay in their bedroom. Saloma calls his mother to come to his house as well, surprising both Halola and her mother.

As Saloma invites his manager and his wife over to dinner, he is forced to find someone to cook since Halola doesn't know how to cook. But the high cost forces Halola to cook, and she ends up burning the chicken.

Halola's friend wants to wed a handsome and wealthy man. As Naguib goes to Saloma's house for dinner, the latter tells him to wed. Halola invites her friend to meet Naguib, but they don't see eye-to-eye, especially as she dislikes that he listens to his mother on everything.

Halola and Saloma's building witnesses an acting and singing competition. As Hend Sabry joins the competition, she has tea with Halola who points her to where the competition is taking place. Halola's friends convince her to take part in the competition, and she makes it to the finals but ends up losing.

As Saloma gets Halola a gift for her birthday, she accidentally throws it away. When Saloma learns that she threw it, he and the maid look for it in the garbage pin outside the building. When they finally find it, Saloma discovers that the dress he got for Halola is too small.

Wishing to celebrate Valentine's day, Halola's friends arrive to help her with the preparations, but Saloma only gets her a rose. The angry Halola makes him sleep in the living room in retaliation. Naguib catches feelings for Halola's friend, but she leaves after she overhears him talking to his mother.

Halola's mother arrives at her daughter's house and shares that she suspects her husband of cheating after she found a love letter. As Halola's father arrives, his wife confronts him with the letter, but Halola tells her mother that the letter was sent by Halola's college classmate.

As Saloma's neighbors cause a ruckus, Saloma tries to get them to lower their voices, only to see his neighbor with a cleaver in hand. Fearful, Halola decides to stay with her parents for a while. But as she moves back in, she and Saloma celebrate her return, disturbing the neighbors.

As Saloma finds a sum of money in his bag, he decides to return the money to the bank since it belongs to a client who accidentally sent it to him. As the family comes together to discuss his decision, Saloma returns the money and gets a monetary award that he uses to pay off his debts.

When Halola gets pregnant, both her mother and Saloma's arrive with their children's childhood clothes. As the two families disagree over the baby's gender, the disagreement ends in a fight. With the pregnancy weighing on Halola, Saloma helps around the house.

As Halola's friends celebrate her newborn son, Saloma calls the baby Hady after his grandfather, which angers Halola. Halola and Saloma are so preoccupied that they forget their anniversary. As Halola decides to get a job, Saloma hesitates to offer his support to her.

Saloma and Halola leave their house key with Naguib as they go on a trip. As Naguib invites the maid for tea, they get close, and she helps him write a story. As Saloma and Halola return, they are forced to wait in front of the house until Naguib returns. Meanwhile, Naguib goes out with the maid.
