The arrival of a new resident named Margaret to the retirement community of Shady Meadows shakes things up, as she meets her fellow residents Hank, Charlie, and Sid, who are grieving the passing of their friend Jerry.

As her 65th birthday comes, Margaret is feeling blue. The guys try to cheer her up by taking her to a café which is now a nightclub.

Margaret and Sid create fake accounts on a dating app to give Charlie a little push after he fails to get any response to his profile, but things quickly spiral out of control.

When Sid’s son Walt comes for a visit, he thinks that his dad is dating Margaret, until he finds out that Sid is actually gay. Hank asks for Charlie's help to cheat on his eye test.

Charlie and Sid run against each other for the home's activities coordinator position. Things go a little crazy when Margaret locks the current activities coordinator, George, up to keep him from attending the elections.

After losing a competition for a 65-inch TV, Hank and Margaret convince the rest of the guys to steal the TV from Hank's ex-wife office. But things take the usual turn, and their plan goes awry.

After Margaret invites Sid to go with her to a Thanksgiving dinner, Hank and Charlie figure out a way to join them.

The gang is worried that the younger woman Hank is dating might be after his money, but they find out that she might be after something else.

When Margaret starts dating a fellow resident at Shady Meadows named Karl, the guys suspect he might be the Zodiac Killer, which makes Margaret start having doubts of her own.

Margaret volunteers to help Hank impress his ex-wife Lorraine when they both attend the funeral of a mutual friend, while Charlie and Sid crash the funeral and mingle with the other folks.

Margaret's plan to help Charlie impress a widow backfires. Hank gets jealous when Sid fills in for him to host a close-circuit TV show.

When Margaret’s daughter, MJ, comes for a visit, the guys are worried that she came to take advantage of Margaret, who's desperate to please her. Sid tries to help Charlie stop being a hoarder.

The gang tries to help Sid deal with his commitment issues with his new boyfriend. Margaret tries to get over her fear of flying by doing volunteer work at the airport.

When Margaret's best friend, Joanie, comes to visit, the guys start to dislike her after they feel neglected by Margaret. But things get more complicated when Joanie decides to move to Shady Meadows.

Hank and Margaret mentor a high school student. Hank must come to terms with an unsettling event that he went through in high school.

The gang gets a taste of the fancy life when Sid house-sits a fellow resident's lavish apartment. When they find out that Charlie makes delicious cookies, Margaret steps in to turn it into a business project.

As Margaret tries to hook up with the hottest guy in Shady Meadows, she can't seem to get rid of clingy Leonard. Hank asks for Sid's cousin's help to sell his erotic vampire novel.

When Sid's ex-wife Bonnie comes to visit, John feels threatened when he sees how well they get along with each other. Margaret and Charlie encounter some difficulties on their way to go to a Fleetwood Mac concert.

Margaret takes Sid to meet his teen idol Kip Samgood. Hank feels neglected after Charlie ditches him to spend time with his girlfriend.

Margaret tries to impress a guy who's out of her league by lying about who she is. Charlie helps Hank get his test results after he starts to freak out. Sid is avoiding John, who needs to tell him something important.

As Hank thinks he planned the perfect wedding gift for his son Tony, he is shocked to find out that Lorraine's boyfriend is paying for Tony's wedding. Margaret and Sid try their luck at blackjack, while Charlie is counting on his old Vegas connections.

As the guys plan their Friend-iversary party, Sid asks the ladies to give him the patio for the party. Margaret tries to ease the tension between Hank and Sid.
